This was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve ever had. The room was very dirty and looked nothing like the photos online, aside from having four walls, a TV, and a bed. The mattress was extremely thin, to the point that you could tell the bed frame was built for a normal one. Comfort was clearly not a priority. We had reserved a handicap-accessible room, and while it did have a roll-in shower, it was located nearly as far from the parking lot as possible. We arrived at sunset, and I had to use a flashlight to safely find a path for my wife, who sometimes has difficulty walking. When I raised this with the front desk, they seemed sympathetic but told me the only other available unit had sloped paths and stairs with no handrails, making it even less accessible. To make matters worse, we found a millipede or centipede in the shower in the morning, which was the final straw, so we didn’t even bathe before leaving. The only reason we stayed the night was because the nearest hotel was 50 miles away, and we were in the mountains during fog and rain. We literally felt like we were trapped there. Definitely would never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone, especially those with accessibility needs.
Looks nothing like the online ad
Bare walls look half done. Even the character on the TV can't believe we paid money for this.
Cheap blinds, not curtains. Note how they're cut around the door handle and lock.

The room was nice and cozy, clean, warm. The only problem I had with it was that you can hear clearly the people behaind the wall/ next door and they weren’t even talking laud.

We stayed overnight in a traditional double-bed room. The cabin is cosy and clean, beds are comfortable, heat and hot water run smoothly and efficiently, food and services in the dining room and bar are good with even live music performance at night. There’s no TV in our room, but who needs that after a day of hiking. This is a perfect place to stay in the Shenandoah National Park.

The weather was terrible. Rain, thunderstorms, hailstorm, no electricity. Room was lovely but the weather was a major issue.

We stayed in one of the buildings near the lodge. They charged $259 for a Saturday night in mid May for a room that had cobwebs behind both beds. The door to the room was peeling from the bottom from obvious water damage. We had millipeds on the floors. The building is really old and musty and the weather stripping is not sufficient to keep the critters out. They shouldn't be charging that price for a room like this. I get paying more for the location, but this was not worth it.

I liked the views at the lodge and the cottage was cozy. Thank you for the fire wood and fire place. A great addition to the cottage.

The lodge is situated in an incredibly beautiful location. The views are breathtaking and nature/wildlife is all around. It is a rustic setting, but the facilities were well maintained and the staff with friendly and very helpful.

Avoid it! It is a pity that being located in a wonderful location the logging is so disapointing: - not clean, I found underwater from previous guest in my room! - it takes over an hour to get a table at the restaurant and when you are finally seated, they treat you so badly. Waiters are understaffed and that makes the personnel too stressed and too mean. We’ll never come back,

We we had two rooms at this wonderful lodge in Shenandoah Park. We had drinks and dinner at the lodge as well. Both rooms are all very nice. Think there were some bathroom issue with both of them but nothing major. I would definitely stay here again.
