It is a great place with lots of great trails and the lodge is pretty with a coffee shop that opens at 7am and closes at 3 but there’s plenty of other places to eat, drink, sit, relax and take in the sights. Highly recommend!

first time at the lodge and Shenandoah and i loved it. The staff was super friendly. Our dinner was amazing. I got the pan fried trout over cheddar grits and asparagus and it was delicious, going to miss that. We did 2 of 3 trails that are around big meadow, loved the rose river falls trail!!

I loved how conveniently located it was to all the trails and the restaurant on site. The food and coffee shop was pretty good and the views were so amazing. The Expedia ad did not say anything about the room I booked being a “traditional” room meaning no A/C or refrigerator. The WiFi in the room was very bad and if I wanted to use my phone I had to go to the main lobby. But other than that my stay was great! I would book again!

This is a rustic historic lodge, not fancy. Had bad storm with a short power outage. But staff handled it. Able to take dog and eat at restaurant on outside deck.

While the location is unbeatable, the best that can be said for the lodging is that it "gets the job done." The spring mattress bed was old and prevented us from getting good sleep. The bathrooms were only okay - the shower curtain is so close that it touches you while you shower, and the floor of the shower should be refurbished. The sink and shower are low pressure, and both would benefit from being updated. The food at the Lodge is okay. If you think of this as a glamping experience, it will be top notch, but don't expect a great hotel experience with all the amenities.

What a fantastic stay! The only problem was I couldn't stay longer! The cabin was clean, pet friendly, and steps away from trails and the lodge with a gift shop, dining room and taproom. A quick walk to the Blackrock Trail viewing point at sunset is a must see!

We had one night to do the national parl adventure. It was perfect Room was great although the bathroom exrractor fan would wake the dead :) Eat in themain restaurant, excellent value and good honest food along wirh a beer in the bar to celebrate the Bear I managed to capture on film as it crossed my path when walking back down the path fom the highest point view point.

The Lodge is exactly what you expect as you pull up. The Staff were extremely accommodating giving us tips and suggestions. The rooms lol lol have NO TV so you have to talk with each other. We liked the Lodge.

Perfect place to stay in the mountains. Casual mountain lodge overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah area! They had a restaurant we got dinner and breakfast at and the food was good, the tap room was fun to have a drink, play games, and listen to music, had a big fireplace in the main lobby area to hang around, and a perfect location for hiking. The only negative was that our room did not have hot water in the sink - it was completely off, so the water pressure was very low. Outside of that, it is a great place!

To Enron’s are more than adequate in size, the a/c worked and kept the room comfortable. It was quiet with no loud neighbors. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. Surely, something quieter would work just as well or separate it from the light. The restaurant meals were excellent and presented in an attractive manner and the wait staff was helpful and attentive. The taproom had a much better menu than on previous stays and was clean and reasonably well appointed. Overall, our stay was very nice and refreshing.
