Location is great and convenient - easy walk from the train station. Surrounded by good restaurants and minutes away from the chapel bridge and other things to see in Lucerne. Room was clean and well equipped.

Great location, clean room, and breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious. I only wish the room was slightly bigger or had less bulky furniture because you could not open 2 small luggages at the same time as there was no space

Nice hotel in a great location, and a good value by Lucerne standards. Just be aware that if you are getting a family room on the top floor, the AC is not big enough to condition the entire space in hot weather.

Booked the city double room for me and my partner — it’s an incredibly small sized room but it was not a big issue for us since we were only there for 2 nights, just want folks to know what to expect. Although it was small, it was well kept and the air conditioning was so necessary and phenomenal! The only thing I’d recommend is bringing your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash since theirs was a 2 for 1 - shampoo and body wash. The service was great, they were incredibly communicative and answered any questions I had on WhatsApp very quickly. It’s also well located, only a few minutes away from the water. Would recommend this hotel as long as the size doesn’t bump you!

We enjoyed the efficiency and the comfort during our stay at the Hotel Goldener Stern. It has a very convenient location to the areas we were hoping to visit. The self check-in procedures were easy to follow and our room was clean and ready on time. We did find a problem with our air-conditioning unit. I sent a email and the problem was fixed immediately. We appreciated the fast service! Again, we enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay at Hotel Goldener Stern! It was about a 10 minute walk from the train station and lake lucerne. Good location to walk to restaurants and shops. It is self-check in. Everything was easily communicated on Expedia so you just have to check your messages. Someone always responds if you need something. The room was pretty spacious, clean, had AC. I think it was also pretty affordable for the area. I would definitely recommend this place!

Great hotel only 10 mins from the train station in Luzern. If you like connection then maybe its not the best hotel for you, but the contactless check in was simple and the service via Whats App was great. The xmas night market was just outside the hotel, which made it very magical. Highly recommend staying here.

Great location, especially for us as a stopover for one night. Close to shopping, dining, and the train station. You have to make sure you can access email to get check-in instructions, which can be challenging for international travelers. There is no reception. The rooms are small but clean.

The place is easy to access. The person sends all the information for check in. The room is comfortable, normal for a hotel in Europe. It says it's the oldest in Lucerne but it looks updated. I liked the idea that it was old, the elevator is small but it works and traveling is about knowing and feeling the other country. I liked it. A hotel close to everything.
