The staff was so friendly. We enjoyed the relaxing wine reception & time in the hot tub. The breakfast was outstounding. We had stayed at this hotel over 30 years ago and it was nice to see they still provide a great experience. The bed was very comfortable. .

One of the most unique places I've stayed. Huge property, beautiful gardens inside. Definitely a little dated in the rooms, and some elevator buttons didn't light up. Great bar, good food. Staff was awesome. It is right by the highway, so a little noisy. Room was huge with a very strong AC!

Our King Suite was a little dated, but certainly comfortable overall. The staff was exceptional. We were greeted and welcomed by every staff member we encountered. The drinks during happy hour were great. The breakfast was very good, from made-to-order omelets to a buffet of scrambled eggs, bacon, etc., the food was tasty and plentiful. Will definitely stay there again.

6/10 Okay

Disliked: Cleanliness
The property itself is nice; dining area is pleasant with beautiful greenery from the natural plants. The staff is friendly and helpful. When it comes to the rooms I can't speak for the other rooms at this property but the king suite that we booked needs and upgrade and the furniture was dirty and dingy. We've booked at many hotels before, and we honestly don't mind paying the price for out stay but if you ask me the booking fee for this room is a bit too pricey for the quality of in the room maintenance and cleanliness.

The staff made this stay a wonderful one! Very attentive and made sure that you were comfortable. The hotel itself would have been amazing in 1985. Although it’s clean, the furniture and drapery is from that era. When there’s a big weekend at Texas Tech, the prices are triple the normal cost. Not fair when you’re getting this era in decor. A wonderful stay though!

This hotel offers a traditional experience, with a complementary happy hour and delicious breakfast. All the rooms have lots of space and are very comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is that it is an older property and you can tell. While the building is definitely due for some updates, the helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff makes up for that. This is the only place I will stay in Lubbock!
