We stayed at the Royal Islander Resort La Terrasse for almost a week in the beginning of August 2026. The property is very beautiful with great views, clean and mostly quiet. We had a one bedroom suite which was very spacious and enough room for 4 people. The property is right in the middle of the Maho district with the restaurants, bars, shopping, other hotels and of course Maho Beach all within walking distance. We had a fantastic vacation and a big shoutout to Kimany and the front desk staff who were very kind and always helpful. When we do head back to Sint Maarten, without a doubt, the Royal Islander Resort La Terrasse will be our choice for our next stay.

Check in was quick and we were allowed to check in early. The room and resort is very clean and had everything you needed; beautiful pool, hot tub, plenty of umbrellas and loungers. Excellent views for watching planes land and seeing Maho. Every staff was very kind and helpful and Jesus pool bar is the best!

Cleaning and front desk staff were amazing. We checked in early and asked for a room on a higher level. The front desk male person checked with his manager and then moved us to a higher level. Realizing the hotel is very old we were disappointed in the room. The size of the living/dinins room were great. The bed and linens were dated and not very comfortable. the bed spread looks like it is from the 60s. The sofa and side chairs were dated too and appeared to be worn. I used a towel.

We had a 2 day stop over here and it covered everything we needed. So close to airport. Great view from our room of the runaway and was able to watch incoming flights over Maho beach. Great location.

Hotel is outdated but clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedding was clean. Clean towels every day. Beach towels can be exchanged for clean ones every day. Lots of restaurants within short walking distance. Grocery store within short walking distance. Pool clean but loud because is right next to airport. Beach very nice and clean but personally, do not like waves. Next time we would stay at La Plage just to avoid loud noise from the airplanes. Other beaches like Mullet Beach or Grand Case are so quiet and water is crystal clear. Less crowded than Maho beach
