I highly recommend this resort. The customer service was fantastic, the food is amazing, De Cortez is well worth it and the property is very clean and scenic. The layout is chaos but that’s the fun part. Walk around everywhere. It’s fun because it’s unique. You will not see many places like this.

My wife and I had a relaxing vacation at Hacienda del Mar. This is secluded from Cabo San Lucas and about a 15 minute taxi drive to downtown. This used to be a Sheraton property so many of the taxi drivers knew it as the Sheraton. We found the food and hospitality to be excellent. The only thing that left a bad taste in our mouth was immediately upon check-in we were shuffled over to a desk where a sales person wanted to give us 'free trips and massages' to sit in on a sales presentation. We had been up since 3 AM and the person wouldn't let us leave without committing $50 cash (refundable) and accepting a breakfast/sales pitch invitation in exchange for a dinner cruise and massage. We were exhausted from early wake up and travel. We just wanted to get to our room and get some food.

Hotel was clean and staff we very nice! Pool was great with very nice seaside view. Staff could have been a bit more attentive, we had many orders forgotten and sometimes weren’t helped at all.

Sales staff for timeshares were aggressive, but check in and other staff were amazingly polite. The beach is closed at this property. Had i known I most likely would have not booked here. The shuttle available is not part of the package. Good place to relax, plan ahead to go to a separate beach if that is why you are traveling.

Very nice resort, well kept, good food, excellent staff. Multiple pools! Very good choice of restaurants and food choices. The evening entertainment was very good! Great location, safe and very comfortable for our us and our adult children. There were young children there too, but absolutely no bother or issues. The place was clean and always picked up. Only recommendation was the lounge chairs by the pools are showing a bit of wear but not a big deal. Just throw a towel on it and it's perfect! We'd definitely go back! I thought it was a great value for the price.
