My husband, grandson (age 10) and I arrived at about 9:30 pm on Friday, March 1st. The office was locked, so we rang the outdoor doorbell. It was cold and rainy outside. We rang the doorbell for at least 10 minutes before the receptionist came out of what appeared to be her attached room. Oddly, we had just seen a man exit the office, but he said nothing to us, and we were unable to get inside the office. Our room was prepaid for two-nights so we waited. Once we got into our room it, was a shade above a barracks room. Because of the storm, it was raining and windy, but the cars and trucks traveling of Pacific Coast Highway are LOUD. We had about 1/2" inch gap under our door, and the bathroom door was crooked, so we had to slam in to shut it. Finally, we booked a room with a king-sized bed that "sleeps 3". That led us to believe there was a sleeper sofa in the room, but instead there was a small table with two wooden chairs (unsuitable for sleeping). The three of us had to sleep in that king-sized bed, and it was not pillow-fights and laughter. I felt like the hotdog in the bun! Because this place has the Wyndham name attached to it, we expected much more. We won't be going back.
