Never stayed at a hostel before. The Normandie hostel is new, clean and the beds are great with so much privacy. Plus they’re virtual check in is a breeze with fast responses.

The place is great and feels safe. I am a female solo traveling and my time of arrival was close to midnight so I'm glad there is plenty of lighting. I also contacted the property management for entry and was immediately replied to. The only downside is the smell of weed and sweat. Everything else is great.

One of the better hostels in LA. Prompt response from host. Easy check-in as long as you upload ID. Mostly clean expect the fl of female dorm bathroom. Only one bathroom for female dorm. Nice, well-stocked kitchen w/several pots, utensils etc. Only an uncomfortable bench available for indoor seating. Can't sit on the patio chairs in the back b/c of discarded cigarettes all over the ground & guests throw things from patio. Mostly long-term residents there. Wifi not the best.

Great, well-run hostel.

Clean, nicely organized hostel. For me, it was very quiet and comfortable (given that the beds are part of a small structure supporting 4 people in a room). Nevertheless, it was adequate with light and usb charging even though A/C power was only available from wall outlet which likely means an extension cord if you require it. Parking for vehicle is sufficient if you arrive before work day ends, otherwise, it could be a challenge.

Relatively new place, everything is nice and pretty. There are bus stops, food spots nearby. Fast wifi, clean bathroom (one per each room),which is great. Only 4 beds in each room with big wardrobe space. Private area for bed, personal light and outlet by bed. Well equipped kitchen with kettle, stove, microwave, fridge. There is an opportunity for laundry if needed. So far was excited for accommodation.
