Rude Owner
Posted May 13, 2018 on HotelsI have never had any problems with hotels through hotel.com. I've Owner is very rude, accused my daughter of taking something small from the room. Yet, we have never even took a roll of extra toilet paper anyplace that we have ever stayed. I offered to look for it when I got home since its mothers day and was in the middle of a family gathering. She then told me to bring it back " right now" very aggressively. Too expensive for this kind of unprofessional drama. Not to mention the area is close to busy main streets, that I wouldn't recommend walking around at night.

Dear guest,
From our experience hosting you, you had taken our oven that was on the property into your unit without permission. Following your check out, we found out that a very quality blanket that has inside your unit prior to your check in has disappeared. We therefore had enough conviction to contact you and inform you of the missing blanket.
Our property is not on or near mains streets, rather it is in the middle of a VERY safe and quiet neighborhood near Van Nuys High School and our guests can certainly check the location beforehand to know that this is true.

Beware of the hidden $65 - $85 cleanup fee
Posted Sep 9, 2017 on HotelsIf you are a construction worker that eat and sleep at your work site then this is your hotel. Or, if you are running from the law then this hotel will also work. It is a converted house in a relative quiet neighborhood. One of the unit is actually a converted single garage that is 5 feet from the swimming pool. Depending on your unit and other renters it might be too noisy for you. From the street, there is no indication that this is a hotel at all so if you want to remain hidden this will be golden.
I have never met the staff because there was none on site. My room key was left under the front mattress of my unit, which I was given a wrong unit and was confront with the tenant of that unit when I try to open the door. I tried to call the hotel owner but it went into voice mail and she did not get back to me until the next day. All communication was by voicemail or text messages so don't expect any immediate responses. Parking is on the street, except on Tuesday when the city clean the street. So, if you are towing a trailer then it might be a problem.
The unit is pretty worn down as expected for the price. Most items in the room were either very old, have stains on them, broken or not bolt down properly (e.g. the toilet move when you move). The window blinds were of different materials, shape, color, and sizes. The window AC is small and very noisy so don't expect to have it on at night when you are trying to sleep (unless you are a construction worker)
