The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Hollywood and the districts of Los Feliz and Silverlake, plus close to the Metro for Europeans like me who are too afraid to drive in LA! I have stayed here before in one of the modernised rooms and it was great. This time we were on the top floor with a room overlooking the courtyard and, whilst is was exceptionally clean and the furniture in good condition with good space, the bathroom and decor were in need of updating. In particular, there were lots of big cracks in the ceiling above the bed, some of the bathroom decor and fixtures were stained and the wallpaper very dated. If the room had thesame update as the one we stayed in last year, it would be excellent. The reception areas would benefit from some maintenance/renovation. Staff were as helpful as friendly as ever and we had great sleeps as the room was quiet and bed comfortable
