This was my time to Los Algodones, Mexico for dental work. I really enjoyed myself and the location was prefect from my dentist office. We had the royal suite and we loved it! The pool was very clean. However we forgot to bring swimsuit and which I regret that! But I will definitely stay again. The only thing that was missing from our suite was face towels.

In Los Algodones, there are a very few number of places to stay, and this stay was my only experience in that town. Other than the perfunctory desk clerk when we checked in the staff at the hotel were excellent- at the coffee counter, the women who maintained the rooms, etc. They provided all the bottled water we wanted, and I drink a fair amount. Our room was not in the main building- it was across the street. Like an old school motel, the rooms were on the second story (up a flight of stairs). Other than a pack of dogs barking a couple of times, it was quiet at night. The main area of this 2-Queen bed room was spacious and very clean, if a bit spartan (i.e. one hard chair). The bathroom, on the other hand, was quite small, and could definitely use some refurbishing. (Please start with a new shower head!). Surprisingly, there are only a few sit-down restaurants in town, and the hotel restaurant is one of them. The food was typical Mexican-American fare with nothing of note but it met its need. The service in the restaurant was efficient but perfunctory. Yes, there is a small pool. This Pacific Northwesterner who was craving sunshine could not get it at the pool. It is surrounded by buildings on three sides and by a privacy screen on the fourth. While there are a few chaise lounges, I couldn't use them to lay in the sun because it only hits the pool deck for limited periods each day. All said, definitely a solid choice in the area.
