From the warm welcome by Mary, to the spectacular view from our room which looked right over the Northumberland Straights towards PEI, to the best dinner and breakfast we can remember (amazing flavors and presentation) the Amherst Shore Country Inn beats them all!!

Very clean comfortable room, prepared with care and furnished with extras for the guests. The Inn and its grounds down to the water itself is beautiful. Our host/chef was very friendly and prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. Ample parking. Would definitely consider a return trip.

We had a lovely stay in room 7 with a sliding door we could open to look out over the beautiful garden and view of the water. Towels were plush, room was clean and cozy. Everyone on staff is very friendly and the grounds were kept immaculate. Coffee was very tasty and always on, breakfast was blueberry pancakes and they were top notch. We used the water toys, the beach was private and the water warm compared to other areas in Nova Scotia. I would highly recommend

This place is absolutely wonderful!!! I would give it a 10 out of 10! From the amenities to the location and view; the warmth and kindness of the owner, the excellent food; we loved it all and will definitely be back. Mary upgraded us to a cabin at no extra cost; not something she had to do. Highly, highly recommend.

I can't recommend enough the Amherst Shore Country Inn. The location is slightly off the beaten track but the coastline and surroundings are gorgeous and the property is lovely, making it well worth the effort to get there. The unit I stayed in was perfect for one or two people looking for a special getaway and the direct access to the beach was a huge bonus:))))

This felt like a hidden gem. Peaceful and beautifully manicured property on the Ocean with many spots to sit comfortably and enjoy the view and serenity. Dined at the property and the meals were 5 star as well.

The house itself was very unique. It was almost like a Bed & Breakfast. The owner was very nice and friendly. The property around the house was beautiful and had a beautiful view of the ocean. In the morning she prepared a delicious breakfast of scones, blueberry pancakes, OJ, and coffee. It was wonderful.

Easy walk to the beach. Marvin (welcome committee cat) comfortable rooms with AC, fridge, comfy bed, nice clean rooms and showers, gardens to explore, outside seating with propane fire table. And the food is Gourmet delicious! The Chefs should have a Michelin star. The scallops and vegetables, scones/bread, lemon meringue pie - the best we’ve ever had! We highly recommend!

We stayed our last night in Nova Scotia at the Amherst Shore Country Inn. It’s family owned and had a nice welcoming feel to it. Mary was so helpful and nice. The room was very nice and comfortable, the property is beautiful, right on the water, and the main part of the inn is cozy. It was a little rainy but we put on our rain gear and explored the grounds. Not only are the grounds beautiful but there are places to sit, to play games, and just relax. Our entire experience was delightful!

This was a gem ! Mary was absolutely wonderful and made us feel right at home . We had dinner that was delicious . It was a three course , homemade meal with homemade bread and dessert . The breakfast was divine with homemade scones and blueberry pancakes and eggs . The rooms were clean and quant . We were able to walk down to the beach and enjoy the ocean . They even had a little gazebo and private beach . Very charming and lovely .

Innkeepers were friendly and helpful. We had a chalet which included a sitting area (with sofa, arm chair and gas fireplace) and kitchenette. The sleeping area was furnished with a four-poster bed and jacuzzi. Bathroom was modern, pristinely clean. Breakfast was available at an extra charge that was well worth it. Only downside was the fact that dinner is only served 4 days a week. That said, the innkeepers mage helpful recommendations for nearby places. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.
