“Great location, friendly owner and house keeper, well maintained with a cosy homely feel. The kitchen was well equiped for self catering and the home was kept warm for our autumnal stay. Towels were provided as were gowns and slippers which were a thoughtful addition for the use of the hot tub. A much appreciated basket of goodies greeted us on arrival. Would happily return.”

“Booked just for one night so apart from sleeping there we really only experienced the breakfast. Must say this was excellent with good quality ingredients and quick service. But disappointed that we were unable to get a snack in the afternoon as the chefs had left and not back until dinner prep. Room and bathroom was very clean. Parts of the hotel were well worn particularly stair carpet”

“It's a gothic style hotel,and unusuallcompared to today's run of the mill places .parking good . Near the town . “There weren't shops or much nearby. But i think the purpose of this lodge is that you get to see the countryside and visit the 3 peaks Yorkshire as it's the closet by 27 mins drive. Plus it got a bath tub which is needed after a long hike.”
