Hotel is very modern and clean having just been refurbished, breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly. We stayed 3 nights for Foyle Cup and was a super base with loads of eating out options all close by.

Clean room, big smart TV, nice bathroom. Breakfast was nice. Overall it’s a nice hotel apart from the bar restaurant area had very loud music with a singer all evening. It was so loud that the staff couldn’t hear us properly to take our order and ended up ordering the wrong food. We couldn’t hear each other speak and in the end had to go and sit out side.

Recently refurbished and looking great. The reception staff on check were very professional and helpful. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The bar/restaurant was very busy on Sunday early evening and was a bit confusing as to how to order food. When it came the food was fresh, tasty and well prepared. The breakfast was a bit odd, eaten in the restaurant and had to wait quite a few minutes before a member of staff arrived to book us in. However, the buffet was in an adjoining small room. The selection was fine but the room would be difficult to navigate if there were more than a few customers in at the same time. Receptionist on check out was talking to another member of staff and didn’t bother to ask if everything was okay with our stay. However, it’s a lovely, clean well located hotel and would definitely stay again.

After using Expedia for many years, I have now become aware that booking a hotel room via Expedia (and the like) results in being allocated a second rate room by the hotel, as they have to make up for a (perhaps) cheaper sale & commission costs! The Da Vinci Hotel is undergoing an upgrade and is generally looking good, but our room is presumably awaiting its' turn! The bathroom wasn't great - there were water/damp stains on the ceiling, the shower tray overflowed & the fittings required and upgrade. On our first night the hotel was apparently busy and the dining room staff seemed stressed! We are out on the other nights. The bar was good. Breakfasts were good. The hotel is out of town so you need a car to get into the city.
