I found the property very charming and the staff as well. Clear communication and ready to offer suggestions for things to do and see in London. It’s tucked into a residential area but that was great as it was peaceful and quiet. A 10 minute walk to Victoria station made it ideal for reaching Gatwick airport and spots in London. Would be happy to stay again and suggest it to others.

While this is not a 5 star hotel, it is 5 stars within the confines of what they offer in a converted home/building. Hallways are narrow and older looking, but it is otherwise a good place to stay. Staff takes care of the details. We had limitations on steps and they made sure our room was on a floor where the elevator stopped. They also made sure that we had a walk-in shower rather than one of those high walled tubs that are common. Cost of the room was worthwhile mentioning in light of the rates that mainline hotels are charging in London

We had a wonderful stay at The Windermere Hotel. The rooms are much larger than most. I’d suggest asking if the bathroom has a regular shower or one with a bathtub. I’d also ask if the bed is a double, queen or king.the breakfast is wonderful!

The staff were very helpful when we asked directions to pubs nearby and answering questions regarding the best way to get to Heathrow for our departure. This was especially helpful as there was an Underground strike. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Very nice to have the option of a limited menu for our early departure served by a very pleasant staff member. Would definitely stay here again if I return to London.

The location was on a quiet street, close to Victoria station. The owner, Nick, his wife and daughter, Emily were very accommodating and friendly. They allowed my husband to keep his small mobile scooter in the lobby. There is an elevator, as well. The air conditioner worked well during the heat wave this summer. A huge shout out to their staff, Abdar and Leo! Very helpful with all of our needs. And, the breakfast.....to die for! The best meal we had while in London. I will mention that the bathrooms are quite small. I am 5'6 195 lbs. and would warn that a very large person might have a hard time moving around and using the facilities (the toilet is in-between tight walls) Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay at the Windermere Hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel in London. The room was fresh, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and made it feel like a small family-run hotel. Breakfast was well-cooked with a good enough selection, served in a cosy breakfast café. It’s also within walking distance of Victoria Station, and overall very good value for money.
