very good location. behind the building is Main Street. I believe that is bloomsbury wy where there are lots of shops, restaurants. Russell square garden is just cross the street. Walking distance to British museum, Soho square, Oxford St, and two tube stations nearby. It takes 30 mins from airport to Tottenham court station by Elizabeth line. I don't think Thanet can be ranked 3 star hotel. However, after 3 days stayed over there, the little room with London give me the good memory.

First place I’ve ever stayed where there is a kettle, but no tea or coffee to make and where there is a tv that doesn’t work and WiFi that decides when it will or where there is evidently a leak because the carpet is sodden and yet the owner chooses not to do anything about it. Astonishing!

It was a pretty nice hotel in a good area but the first room I was given was really tiny and way to warm there but they let me change rooms. Shared toilets and showers on the hotel. Literally five minutes away from a tube station which is excellent 👌

We stayed here because our train was cancelled and needed somewhere to stay last minute. It was fine. The staff was very friendly, the room was ok. Very outdated and needs repairs but for one night it was fine.

Not sure what the 3 stars relates to? Maybe because there’s a hairdryer in the room… Nothing wrong with a small room, carpet , squeaky, bumpy floor and the bathroom was extremely small and tired. The bathroom soo won’t even shut

Staff polite and informative. No milk. Shower braket broken. Shower curtain and rail missing. Staff informed seemed suprised! So I showed him the picture of the damage. Room was clean and tidy. Good for the price in central London.

The receptionist was most welcoming on arrival and informative. I was able to store my luggage until my room was ready so I could carry on with my day. The reception was open 24 hours a day so I didn't have to worry about my return time. The only negative was, there was a kettle in my room but no coffee or milk.

Prepare to be disappointed. Single room in the basement. Awful. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy. Poor bathroom. Creepy. The location is good and it's cheap. That's all.

We were extremely disappointed with the Thanet Hotel. The images on Expedia do not come close to what you actually get. For the price we paid, the room was dirty, you could feel the springs through the mattresses, and I’m seriously worried about bringing bed bugs home, although, fortunately , we didn’t experience any bites. There were no hand towels and a minimal amount of all-purpose soap was provided - there was no shampoo or body wash. The shower was mouldy. The staff were indifferent or rude when we interacted with them. The location was great and the area behind the hotel seems to be home to a number of foxes and birds which was nice.

Won’t ever want to go there Their basic room does not come with private shower or toilet. It’s down the hall. Your site skipped mention of this fact and I m very disappointed by lack of transparency by the hotel and Expedia. I upgraded the second night for 15 GBP extra with private toilet and shower, but it did not have soap, shampoo or body wash. Horrible experience , terrible service on a super hot day in London
