Ok pour la proximité de LCY

A juste l'avantage d'être à côté de l'aéroport London City Airport. Ok pour passer une nuit pour prendre le vol tôt le lendemain matin, sinon à éviter pour de plus longs séjours.

C'est une honte !!!!

vous devriez avoir honte de referencer cet endroit.Ce n'est ni un hotel, ni une maison d'hote, c'est un boui boui crasseux, à coté d'une voie de chemin de fer et d'un aéroport. aucune isolation phonique. la chambre avait des traces de moisissure et d'humidité partout .la salle de bain, le sol de la chambre etaientt sale. le mobilier avait l'air de sortir d'une décharge.

Not an Hotel

The deal was there, close to the airport. On this point it could not be closer. But it is not an hotel, it is a house transformed in a multi rooms. No external sign highlighting this is the place to go. I walked around looking for an Hotel sign, even a neighbour being asked was not able to tell me where was this hotel. The room itself was odd, noisy and the bathroom very small.

Gérant totalement incompréhensif.

Nous étions 4 à voyager à Londres et avons réservé deux chambres pour deux nuits à ce petit hôtel / guest house. Dû à l'arrivée tardive de notre vol, nous sommes arrivés après 23h (00h12), heure limite de l'accueil des voyageurs. Après 23h donc, plus personne pour nous ouvrir. Nous appelons le responsable qui nous fait comprendre qu'il n'est plus sur place et qu'il ne peut rien faire pour nous. Nous ne contestons pas le fait que nous aurions dû vérifier les conditions de l'hôtel, et que nous aurions dû les prévenir. Le problème vient après. Le lendemain matin, première heure (nous avons trouvé un hôtel dans la nuit), nous rappelons l'hôtel pour dire que nous serons présents la nuit suivante (pour une nuit que nous avons payée). Sauf que le responsable nous dit que notre réservation a été annulée, qu'elle ne sera pas remboursée, et que nous devrons payer à nouveau pour rester la nuit suivante. Après avoir contesté et fait intervenir Hotels.com, le responsable refuse toujours de rembourser la deuxième nuit. Il est sans doute dans son droit (il applique les conditions du "no show"), mais dans un business avec un rapport humain (comme un hôtel), dans une situation où 4 personnes ont failli dormir dehors, un geste (ou juste nous laisser dormir dans la chambre que nous avions réservée) aurait été normal. Hotels.com nous a cependant remboursés la deuxième nuit. Un grand merci à ce site pour avoir fait ce qu'il y avait à faire, et grosse déception vis-à-vis de ce gérant.

Feels very humble

To clarify, no this isn't a hotel, but it doesn't make it any less of a place to stay! We stayed in Room 1: fairly large room, easy to walk in, large bed and en suite. My one bone to pick with the room is the en suite - it's quite small and we had a problem with the lock, but the manager fixed it! The room was clean, felt humble and was very homey - oh and complimentary tea & shower soap! The manager was lovely, I had a insanely heavy suitcase and he helped me up the staircase upon arrival. He also gave us fully printed receipts of any money given to him. This is an ideal place to stay if you are wanting the airport, however we stayed for London MCM and by cab it was about 10 minutes away, still not bad!! We had a fun weekend and the hostel made it all happen, hope to stay again in future!

Not a hotel

Terrible. It's not a hotel, just a house where all the rooms appear to be letting rooms. Our 'deluxe' room was so small I had to walk sideways around the bed. There was a shower cubicle and sink in a cupboard in the corner of the room but the toilet was at the other end of the landing, right next to the door for another bedroom - not very private! We didn't use the shower. It was filthy with soap scum and hair stuck to the glass. The radiator was permanently on and it was stiflingly hot. Luckily we only needed somewhere to sleep for one night as we were attending a show at the O2, and weren't in the room any longer than needed. On the upside, it's perfectly located right next to a DLR stop, about 15 mins away from the O2. Sheets and towels were clean. But I definitely wouldn't stay again or recommend to anyone else.

Direkt am London City Airport, ABER...

...nach dem positiven ersten Eindruck waren wir doch etwas geschockt. Das Zimmer ist so klein, dass quasi nur das Bett hinein passt, was wir zu dem Preis auch nicht anders erwartet hatten, aber die Toilette lag deshalb sogar außerhalb des Zimmers, was eher suboptimal ist, aber auch zu ertragen, wenn nicht alles sehr dreckig gewesen wäre. In der Dusche lagen noch haufenweise alte Haare, Spiegel und Waschbecken nicht geputzt und auf der Tagesdecke waren eklige Flecken. Ansonsten war das Bett zum Glück okay, sonst hätte ich da nicht schlafen können. Die Haare wurden auf unseren Anruf hin entfernt, aber das ist auch nur ein kleiner Trost.

everything was fine and owner was a great help. anything we needed we just had to ask. only minor thing was room and bathroom needed a little more dusting but nothing too bad at all. enjoyed our stay and easy access to rail services.

Accommodation several metres from City Airport.

This accommodation was not what I expected; the 'hotel' is a converted house so describing it as a hotel is a bit far fetched. It is a B&B without breakfast facilities - well actually with only tea making facilities. I had expected a proper hotel - especially as a big chain charges the same price (unfortunately full on the night in question) so this was over priced for what was on offer. On the positive side it was clean and the owner was polite.

Het hotel heeft schone kamers, maar in de vier dagen verblijft werd slechts 1x schoongemaakt. Ik heb zelf mijn prullenbak geleegd. De lampen van mijn kamer waren kapot op één na. In ieder geval beter dan onder een brug slapen. Het beddengoed was schoon, maar de douche kon wat beter schoongehouden worden.

This is not a hotel or B&B, it's someone's house!

This is an awful place! Not a hotel, not a B&B. No sign on the end terrace house to say it is the Metro CityAirport 'Hotel'. It's just the end terrace house in a dodgy area by City's Airport. No reception, no communal area etc. Door locked on our arrival and we had to wait for a guy (who had clearly just been woken up by us!) to cone and open the door. Clearly they have just converted their multiple occupancy property to a 'hotel'. We stay in hotels.com places all the time, this was unbelievably bad and should certainly not be advertised by hotels.com. Room was cold, bathroom was literally a cupboard that we had to edge around the loo. Shower was tepid at best and 'bathroom' was freezing. Don't stay here!

It's not a Hotel !

It is scandalous that this is listed under "Hotels" It looks like a dingy end of terrace guest house, its sole saving grace being proximity to City Airport. No reception, bar, eating facilities whatsoever, just a room in a house. I was in a hurry when I booked so maybe should have investigated further, but at nearly £200 for the night I expected something half decent, and a hotel with facilities and staff. Was locked out for nearly 15 mins at about 9pm - the guy I called from the guest house didn't have a key so said someone was driving round to let me in! In the end another guest opened the door. Only place I could get something to eat was at City Airport. Also had to call same guy to find out how to switch the light off at night, found out the switch was outside the room, in the hallway. My room had a separate bathroom/kitchen part, with a back door, where the guy who met me left by, so with 2 access doors, I had to make sure the back was locked as well as the front. Overall state of the room poor, considering the cost. I wasn't looking for luxury but to be honest I couldn't wait to leave so I didn't take any pictures. Seriously, this cannot stay under the heading "hotels" when people are putting in a search - I wish to have the full cost refunded as this is nothing like a hotel. Expedia has to act now and remove it from the list of hotels.

The ad on the Expedia web site is misleading and dishonest.This is not an hotel or motel but an end of terrace house "converted"for use as paying guest accommodation. The "conversion"is misconceived as he premises are inappropriate. The place is a fire trap and should not be allowed to operate There is no proper reception. There was no one in attendance when we arrived after a long trip from Australia. Put into one phrase this is a disgrace.

Great location, but ultra functional

I was charged on arrival despite showing the staff member email confirmation saying that I'd paid in full. I will stay here again, the proximity to City Airport is brilliant, though it is essentially a room in a guest house. Do not expect hotel service in any way!
