A lovely hotel in a great location with tasteful, modern decor and an extremely comfortable bed. Particularly liked it as it was so quiet. Many hotels state that they are soundproofed but actually dont appear to be. The Mercure Bankside was certainly peaceful and relaxing. Dog friendly too for a charge of £15 daily. Very pleasant and helpful staff from start to finish. Glass bottle included in the room to fill up from drinking water point on the hotel landing. Thought this was a great idea as it offered water as required and no plastic waste. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I have been using this Mercure hotel for around 13 years for work and non work stays in London. It’s in a good location to get to where I want to go. The hotel has been improved over the years and the staff never fail to be helpful and polite. And in general I find it a good hotel to stay at. A plus point for me are the refillable water bottles in your room. However, there are some small touches that seem an insignificant, can be tad irritating when not done e.g. only one glass in a room for 2, can’t get the TV to work and milk/coffee not refilled, plus after going down to the bar upon a late arrival for a ‘night cap’, to find the beer pumps are turned off at 11pm - no idea till you get to the bar. That said Aussie sounding (sorry if not!) chap on reception was very helpful and sorted the glass, TV and milk, with no quibbles.
