The hotel is very well situated on Picadilly close to regents street and all shops, but the rooms are definitely in need of updating, very old fashioned and dark, walls painted dark green make them very dark and depressing with the lack of light. Furniture needs updating especially the bed. Rooms are noisy from the traffic if you like the window open at night. Nice to have a pool in a central London hotel.

The staff are absolutely wonderful, but the rooms are overpriced and not in great shape. Be prepared to have a lot of difficulty with electrical plugs; I was in two different rooms, one being the most expensive one the had to offer, both didn’t have bedside electrical plugs that were somehow only for lights (they were different prongs than the standard UK prongs). Staff went out of their way to try help me be able to plug my phone in at the bedside, but the best they could do was bring some adapters that were in long extension cords that we had to run across the room and even from side a closet in the second room.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. We were allocated a room as soon as we arrived even though we were a couple of hours early. Only disappointment was the terrace was closed for refurbishment.
