The thing that stands out on this stay was staff friendliness. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect. So walkable to a ton of things, like the theater District where we saw the Phantom of the Opera. Tons of Shopping, restaurants and short walk to Buckingham Palace. Lots of construction this summer so walking is your best bet. But the bus stop is in front of hotel, so easy to get around. Great bar area. Make sure to say hi to Paul the doorman, loads of info on sights to see!

The staff at the Dilly are amazing. So helpful. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful with a wide selection. The air con was good and the room cool However! The furniture is very dated with large chips on it. There was a wardrobe, dressing table and a table with 1 arm chair. Although there was 2 of everything else so someone had to sit on bed. No chest of drawers for clothes. There was only 1 bedside table and 1 bedside lamp. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing with water/cup marks on many surfaces in room and bathroom The TV had a black line running through the screen making it impossible to watch. Very noisy outside bottles being thrown into bins during the evening until 22.30. Then again at 02.30 and 04.40. The shower was adequate but you can not remove from wall.

The hotel location is ideal and close to Piccadilly Circus tube. Staff all very friendly and breakfast is excellent. However, I felt the room we had, though spacious and clean, was average. The floor creaked badly and the bathroom was very dated. There was only one small sink, not a double, and only a small mirror shelf for storage. Products missing shampoo and body lotion. Also, no hairdryer. It felt basic not plush which I would have expected at this price point.
