Close to the River Thames, the situation could not be better for exploring historical London. Many of the most famous sites are within walking distance. Also, the rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and breakfast is excellent.

In the rented room, water from the bathroom was leaking into the room itself. The shower enclosure was poorly sealed. I was most pleased with the breakfast; there was a huge selection of food and all kinds of drinks.

I’ve stayed at LSE Bankside twice now. While it’s basic and could certainly use some updating, it’s clean and the breakfast is an excellent deal. The location is great with 2 tube stations within a 10 minute walk. There’s a laundry room onsite which makes packing light easier. As there is no air conditioning it could get hot in the middle of summer but my room was comfortable when the temps were high 70’s F.

I loved my stay here. The location was great with a lovely little green space right out the door to relax during the heat wave. The staff was very accommodating with an excellent luggage room to store my bags before check in and after check out. And the breakfast was all you could ask for. I would definitely stay again.

Basic but very convenient accommodation. Comfortable beds, ensuite, buffet breakfast included. Very good value for the location and great tube connections. Bring your ear plugs though as rooms not soundproof and doors bang. No in-room TV but this was no problem for us. FYI - No fridge, no air con. Very powerful shower (on ground floor)

Basic dorm style accommodations. Clean and quiet. But no air conditioning. Shower has excellent water pressure. Water in rooms not potable but they have a common kitchen with drinkable water etc. Daily breakfast is quite good with a full array of hot and cold all you can eat. Would definitely return as it’s close to transportation but away from the hustle and bustle.

I paid £58 a night for a basic single room which had everything I needed. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, use of a kitchen with microwave and fridge and a bathroom with a powerful shower. These things coupled with the very central location and a hearty breakfast with a wide choice of foods at no extra cost has got to be one of the best bargain stays in London Gonna do it again next summer in my favourite city in the world

I had basic expectations considering its student accommodation, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable and very clean. The location is a complete win right by the river and walking distance from the tube. I was able to walk 20 mins to and from an event at the royal festival hall and felt safe doing so. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise having a cooked breakfast to choose from and other options. Just bear in mind that there was a bit of a queue with the final hour of breakfast times. The staff were friendly

I think these university accomodations are fantastic. I don't need much when travelling. My bathroom shared with one other room which had no one in it. Great breakfast which lasted me most of the day. One meal in the late afternoon and that was plenty. I stayed for a week and while it would have been nice to have linen changed, I just asked the cleaners when they came around. Great location walkable to Burrough markets and Blackfriars Tube station. Highly recommended.

The 'all you can eat' breakfast is a real winner enabling guests to be well fuelled for a busy day without having to worry about fitting in lunch!! Especially good location for the Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre and many other locations. Thanks for a great stay LSE!!
