Ibis Blackfriars is a prettty comfortable hotel, and is well located. Be aware that the rooms are small, and only have the essentials, including only one chair. Funnily enough for a budget hotel, You will be kicked out of the lobby area if you eat food that is not theirs (ex. from the grocery store) and not offered any alternative apart from purchasing from their restaurant. The breakfast is satisfactory but repetitive, and the coffee is not great; probably not worth purchasing for the price. The staff are generally not very friendly and helpful. All in all it has a good location and comfy beds, but I believe this hotel does the minimum for their guests.

The room was clean and had good air conditioning. The staff on reception were really helpful and check in / out was really easy and simple. The downside was breakfast as the scrambled eggs were powdered eggs and was often very busy in a small space. Also the milk was from machines which was confusing when having tea or cereals.

The hotel was in a great location. Rooms clean, bed comfy and shower good. We struggled with working the lights, as there was no switch for the main lights so we had to turn all the lights on/off at a time, That may have been my mistake. I wasn’t keen on the plastic bathroom but for the price we had a good stay,
