Gym was shut, one of my main reasons for booking. The room was ok, good soundproofing and good bed, but the bathroom wasn't cleaned at a 4* hotel level, and the drains smelled pretty badly. OK hotel for the price, but not a standout experience.

We booked the evening that Heathrow canceled all the flights. We were thrilled to get a room. After an arduous trip we got to the hotel and the manager stated that even though I had a confirmation there were no rooms available. There were at least 50 other people in the lobby. He did say that we were allowed to sit in the lobby at no cost. It was an extraordinary circumstance, so at least we were in out of the weather. One item of note was that the only restroom was downstairs and was not maintained so the toilets were plugged and the water in the sink was off. It may have been on a timer as my daughter said the water was on in the morning. The staff was overwhelmed but a valet went out of his way to help us move our luggage to where we cold access it, and again in the morning when we headed back to the airport.

Rooms are really tired and desparately in need of a renno. Bathrooms in particular, shower smelled mouldy. AC in room non existent. Only rooms with indoor windows. New gym was being built but not open, old gym is useless. 3 treadmills none work. Staff at front desk were helpful.

Stay away from this place! The most unhelpful staff I have ever come across! Also there was no air conditioning, and when asking about it at reception they said it was a maintenance issue. However, when speaking to other guests they mentioned theirs was working just fine. It cannot be a maintenance issue if they already have fans left at the room door, but it’s worse to think it’s deliberate! It’s dishonest to say the least, but the fact that works in certain rooms and not others leads me to think perhaps they select who gets air conditioning and who doesn’t based on how they booked. The location is great, good train stations on short walk, loads of restaurants, the Westfield and supermarkets. The breakfast is not worth the extra cost!

On arrival our toilet would not work and therefore maintenance had to try and fix it. Unfortunately this took a while and because of this we had to move rooms and hence was running late to an event. Luckily the staff were very accommodating and fast to get us a new room which we appreciated and also provided us with free breakfast which was a nice gesture so thank you! The room itself wasn’t clean like the bedding or the curtains/ sink/ shower! Apart from that it was an okay hotel and unfortunate of the toilet not working. The breakfast was again okay a bit cold and not cooked enough!
