Location was excellent, the room was light and spacious, beds were comfortable. En-suite bathroom was dated with a low, fixed height shower head over the bath, but for one night, it was perfectly usable and wouldn’t put us off staying again! Staff were friendly and check-in/out easy.

Beautiful property and a great location. Easy access to the underground and walking distance to Paddington station. Property is old so expect some wear and tear and the bathrooms are old, however its all well maintained.

The building is quite old (older than it looks in pictures), so be prepared for torn/lifting carpet and outdated appliances/amenities. The hotel itself is beautiful and the bar/restaurant area is great. Amazing location if you’re wanting to stay closer to Hyde park!

We had an enjoyable overnight stay at The Columbia Hotel. We stayed in an economy double room which was absolutely fine for our needs. The hotel is in an excellent location, opposite Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. A short walk from The Royal Albert Hall and Lancaster Gate tube station. The staff were lovely.

Loved the location across from Lancaster gate. Easy bus access and lovely service. The hotel was built in 1853, so it creaks...A LOT. But it is charming. We would book again.

This place was perfect for us; quiet street, clean room, comfortable beds, restaurants nearby and nice breakfast for a small fee! May I suggest a few Small changes to the hotel; please put something on the doors so they don’t slam shut so loudly?? Add better lighting outside at night- definitely a hazard for older folks. Besides those small things; highly recommend!

The Colombia was very clean but in need of a bit of a re vamp, we had a large bathroom which was great but the bedroom was quite small and dingy but very clean , we were here for 5 nights ,it was ok ,but would hope for a bit bigger and brighter room if we stayed again, staff were all excellent, bar was fine but again very dark .

I really liked the hotel. It was perfectly located, near all the spots we wanted to visit, and the parking lot was easy to use. The staff was really friendly and helpful all the time, whether in the morning, evening, or late at night. The only reason I'm not giving them a 5 is because of the non-existent air conditioning in our room… the temperature inside was around 28 Celsius and there was only a low-potency standing fan. Everything else was perfect! Thanks to all of them for making our stay comfortable!

Beautiful room with good bathroom - overlooking Hyde Park - very nice staff. Despite the heatwave we were very happy with the hotel Unfortunately there is no A/C in the hotel however we asked for an extra fan for the room which the hotel was happy to supply. Great location for Hyde Park, tube and bus routes and easy access to all the London attractions.

We had an excellent stay. The breakfast was lovely, the staff were wonderful and the location could not be beat. It could use a bit of a refurbish as the bathrooms and carpets are looking like they have seen better days and with the lack of air conditioning perhaps 2 fans per room would more helpful. I would still recommend this charming hotel and would stay there again. They were even able to accommodate putting the 2 rooms I reserved next to each other which was very helpful.
