We had a fabulous stay at super stylish Aethos in Shoreditch, which is honestly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Erel and his team took great care of us throughout our stay. The room was pleasant (stayed in Aethos room), it wasn’t too big but enough space with a sofa, table, and a big bed, with plenty of sockets located throughout the room. There were a lot of amenities including hairdryer, umbrella, robes, slippers, water, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving kit, comb etc. The room was very clean with nice decor, and it had a very large TV with Netflix & YouTube, plus you could connect your phone to access a few other apps. There is a cafe in the hotel, plus breakfast for an additional fee. At the time of our stay, the room was very hot and it wasn’t entirely clear how the AC worked, however, we asked a member of staff who helped us out. The staff are very friendly. The only downsides we faced was the high priced temporary charge they take (£100/night), and I felt the room was quite expensive for what it was, especially as breakfast was not included in that rate. I believe the normal rate for the date we stayed was priced at over £1000 total for 3 nights. I was perhaps expecting something grander for the cost.

The hotel was newly opened and clearly suffering from teething issues. Our reservation was not logged so the staff had to find us a room which was OK but not what we booked. The rooms had undergone some renovations and our sink leaked. The fridge made a lot of noise all night and there was a bright light from the heating controls. However the room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a good location and the staff were very attentive and apologetic for the issues.
