Acceptable hotel for the price. Yes, it is older and needs updating, but room was clean. Check-in was fast. Breakfast was an actual breakfast, not simply juice, coffee, tea, and muffins, like other chains which claim free breakfast.

Basic hotel at a reasonable price

This is a basic hotel with some cosmetic repairs needed. Pool was closed (seasonal)and empty and ice available only in office. Room was comfortable and full filled our needs. Minimal breakfast in office lobby. Check in and employees were very pleasant.

Very clean for an outdated room. Manager was very nice to come over and fix our toilet and accommodating in other ways. Bathroom could use a remodel. When remodeled the fan needs to be separate from the light in the bathroom . Chill noisy .Air conditioning needs to be replaced.

It was a gorgeous property, in the 1980s. Now its very old and run down. We did not stay the night, we checked in, evaluated the room, and checked out. If you are used to more modern properties, this is not your place to stay. I dont have the highest standards regarding hotels, but a night at a Hampton is pure luxury compared to this older motel. Will not try again, and will not stay at a Howard Johnson ever again.

The rooms were decent, furniture looked a bit beat. The bed was clean. Walls a little rough and bathroom door hard to close. The toilet lid was badly scratched. The outsides of the buildings looked rough and the lobby seemed rather dumpy, which did not give a great first impression. It was a decent place for overnight, but not one I would stay for more than one night. Not cozy feeling.

There was a musty smell in the room. It just needed to be aired out. The bathroom faucet was broken. There was no pool as listed. The motel is obviously very old. It is cheaper because it is old and not remodeled. The pillows were lumpy. The room was clean and had a clock, microwave, 4ft fridge, blow dryer, cups, iron, and ironing board.

Howard Johnson really needs to look at this location because this is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It was late at night and we were tired and we really needed a hotel, so I booked this hotel just based on the fact that it was a Howard Johnson and we’ve stayed at those hotels before and they were always very well-maintained and really nice. This was the exact opposite.. the room felt dirty, we had to wipe everything down, the carpet in the room and also along the flooring on the upper level had dirt and stains and was just gross. There were a couple of cars in the parking lot full of dust and dirt so someone is definitely just parking their cars there and leaving them. I think their pool is abandoned and we weren’t even going to try their breakfast in the tiny space they had in the lobby. We didn’t even want to put our food in the refrigerator. The front desk person was nice enough, but that’s about it. Again, we’ve stayed at Howard Johnson’s before, but they need to re-look at this location and pull their name from it. It needs a complete overhaul. I did a video of the room so I had to take screenshots of tha… On top of that, THE TOILET DIDN’T WORK!!! if it weren’t for the fact that my mom and I are very savvy and know how to fix things and get a toilet to fill up with water when there is none, we would not have had a toilet!!! if I could give zero stars to this place, I would… we started referring to it as “the hell hole” just to make it through our trip.

Howard Johnson wouldn't attach their name to this property if they saw it... I mistakenly booked a smoking instead of a non smoking, which the owner insisted on pointing out to me on his screen, instead of just offering me a non smoking (the place was nearly empty so its not like they didn't have the room). When I asked for a non smoking instead he did give me one. I should've taken that as a sign and just kept driving. Found rodent excrement on the floor in the middle of the night when I got up. Some surfaces were a bit sticky. Bed was clean, as was the bathroom, but does that really matter when you ask for single occupancy but you end up getting double--with a fuzzy creature? There was a hair dryer but no plugs in the bathroom. Deadbolt wouldn't work on the door. Ice machine was broken so the owner was nice enough to get me some ice from his apartment. The lobby was very humidly warm and stuffy because they weren't running the A/C, so not easy to be in there for any length of time. I also wasn't going to stay any longer than I had to so I checked out early. Hopefully they release the hold on my cc soon so I can verify I was only charged for one night and not three which is whats currently still showing...
