“Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist.”

“I booked a double bed room in June 2025, changed to double twin bed room in September 2025 with confirmation, and received a small double bed room. Ownership changed in February 2026, new owner told me not to received change of booking, stayed 9 days, received for 3 days extra room.”

“The hosts Alex and Katie are a young couple doing a great job running this small boutique hotel! It is is older building however it is well kept up and clean. The rooms are comfortable and provide all necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We would definitely stay here again!”

“Had a lovely relaxing 4 night stay in North Light studio as a solo traveller with a dog. We had everything to make our stay comfortable including the complimentary North Uist distillery gin miniatures and Hebridean oatcakes, much appreciated. Weather mixed but we had a beautiful sunset viewed from the front of the studio. I’d highly recommend this stunning studio.
