Nice location - easy walking to train, along lake ( both directions) and dining options Older building needing some upgrades (eg outlets for the floor lamp and coffee maker!) Lobby a bit tight, and understaffed at checkin.

Wonderful Hotel

Excellent hotel! Clean with great staff. We had a suite facing the lake and had a wonderful view. Breakfast was included and was very good. Location was close to restaurants and walking along the waterfront was very much enjoyed. Took a bus to Aston’s and this town was very much enjoyed. Also took the lift up to Arcada for excellent views of the lake and mountains. Excellent hotel and would stay there again

100% Recommend

We absolutely loved this hotel. It's an easy pleasant walk along the lake from the station. The reception staff are multilingual and are very helpful. We chose a studio room with lake view. It was super comfortable with an amazing view of the lake. There are lots of restaurants in Locarno but we decided to include breakfast and evening meal at the time of booking. Breakfast is buffet style and offers a super range of excellent quality foods. Supper was waiter service; sometimes it's à la carte, other times an abridged menu. But regardless every dish was excellent! You will not be disappointed. The head waiter is marvellous and made each evening an enjoyable experience, he was pleased to explain the dishes to us and I noticed him doing so in several languages. His team are professional and friendly; they simply make you feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. The garden setting for the restaurant is lovely with the lake visible through the trees and shrubs. The hotel is spacious and kept immaculately clean. There is a pool, small but perfect for a cooling dip. We didn't use the gym. It was far too warm to use the roof terrace, the view up there is fabulous. We flew in via Milan, transferred by bus to the central station and caught the train direct to Locarno. An Italian woman on our flight said Locarno is the most beautiful part of Majjiore. I can't compare but I think she may be right! If you go, we can definitely recommend the Arcadia Hotel. Isola Brissago is a must see.

Gute Lage zur City und zum Lido / See

Gute Lage zur City / Lido und See. Das Hotel eignet sich auch für Familien mit Kleinkindern. Die Zimmer bieten genügend Platz für eine Familie. Ebenfalls ist ein Pool und ein Spielplatz vorhanden. Am Pool sind Liegen und Badetücher kostenlos und in genügender Stückzahl vorhanden. Parkplätze sind in der Tiefgarage vorhanden und können vorgängig reserviert werden. Der Check-In und der Check-Out gehen speditiv über die Bühne. Ich kann das Hotel mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Zimmer mit Seeblick zu empfehlen! Das Hotel hat leider nicht genügend P Plätze zur Verfügung. Mann kann dann ins nahe gelegene Centro P ausweichen. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Warnung beim verspeisen im Garten: den Tisch nicht unbeaufsichtigt lassen. Die Vögel klauen sogar, wenn man Tisch sitzt….

The view of the lake from our room was amazing. We were on the 5th floor. The hotel staff was friendly (Marco at check-in was great), and the room was extremely clean! Lovely amenities with a hand written note from manager. Short walk into town, breakfast was pleasant on terrace, private parking available for 19CHF/night. Would definitely recommend and stay here again in the near future!
