Absolute hovel. Lies upon lies

I booked a studio room due to work commitments this weekend. Upon arrival I was told to go through all the lock boxes and just see which room was available. Owner confirmed all rooms are the same. The room had, a bed, a dresser and a wardrobe… that’s it. Kitchen was communal, as was the washroom?! Yes we had a key to the washroom but so did everyone else and we had to walk down a shared corridor to get to it. The entrance stunk of weed and cigarette smoke despite a clear “no smoking” clause on the hotel page. There was pizza boxes left in the kitchen and the outside was just as sketchy. There is no “virtual help desk” it’s 6 key safes on the outside wall. As you unlock the key safe the general public walk past you, hardly safe. In the end I decided to drive 2.5 hours home and simply travel into work each day and drive back. It was more comfortable than my stay could have ever been.

Was clean, shower was by far best i have used in any hotel, kitchen was well equipped bed was ok but could of been better .nicely layed out good location easy parking outside .

Save your money and stress. Go elsewhere

I had no communication from the hotel before arriving, do we arrived - it's not clearly signed as a hotel, it looks like terraced houses with keypads on the outside. There was no way of getting in, no one to speak to and they didn't answer the phone when I tried calling twice.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I checked into The Residency Rooms Liverpool and was met with a terrible smell coming from the toilet, making the room unfit for habitation. I reported this immediately to Expedia, but the hotel was unresponsive and not answering calls from expedia. While Expedia eventually refunded the unused nights, the whole process was extremely stressful, and this property should not be listed on their site without proper checks. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

Cancelled on me at very short notice. Offered alternative accomodation, I booked a double and was offered a single bed. Not ideal for 2 people so had to decline and partner had to drive the 3hrs home when we had already travelled 3hrs to Liverpool.

If I'm being honestly I absolutely do not recommend staying here. It felt unsafe, unclean and the owners are unbothered despite reaching out. I was sent the key code for ALL of the key safes and told to just help myself. Pretty much every key safe already had the code on them so anyone walking past could have helped themselves to the property keys. I picked the key to room 5 and when I entered the smell of cigarettes was unbearable. So went through the other key safes to find a key for room 6, which had s reduced smell of smoke. The fire alarm went off 20 mins later and with no staff on-site I reached out to the contact that sent me the key code details and they asked ME to reset the fire alarm, which when I questioned they said 'it's fine it will be someone smoking in their room. I'll send a member of staff who will be there in 15 minutes' but no one came to check we were ok and so sounds like this is the standard. The kitchen was filthy and not cleaned at all in the week I stayed there. Pots and pans were disgusting, and in short supply - along with everything else - so cooking is pretty much a no go. I spoke to someone staying in the property who told me they had been there for 2 years and told me the boiler was broken which became apparent as the week went on. The room was ok cleanliness wise, bed sheets not great with hairs attached compared to the kitchen ok. The bathroom was gross though. Wish I could write more and attach photos because it was truly truly awful.
