Room was really great for the price we paid! Location is great, and the grounds are beautiful with horses and sheep. The room itself is really lovely, with lots of extras including massive towels and lots of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and a 24/7 area to top this up. The breakfast was really great too for a continental breakfast with loads of options. The staff were really friendly too and could not have been more welcoming. Overall we had a fantastic stay and will be returning!

This property is a gem. Large bedrooms, smart sitting rooms and a breakfast room as well as the lobby downstairs. Would definitely stay again and for more than 1 night.

Mere Brook overnight stay

Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked. We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62. Will definitely book again and highly recommended.

Stayed at this little gem of a hotel as it was near our family. Lovely comfortable and clean room with everything we needed. Hotel in lovely grounds. Liked the ability to be able to come and go when we pleased.

Beautiful, historic home off a narrow country lane nicely converted to a B&B / guesthouse. Old charm with modern conveniences, pleasant grounds and plenty of on-site parking. Close to shopping center and other necessary conveniences, yet set in a quiet rural environment. Rooms are bright, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Although not typically offered, Lawrence can provide a mighty, first-rate cooked breakfast if booked in advance. Smart kitchen facilities are available for early risers with coffee, tea, breads, cereals and juice, etc. Super staff! Our 3-day stay was delightful! We would certainly stay at Mere Brook House again.

Really beautiful place to stay showers are brilliant and bed is really comfortable would 100% stay again. Just as a caution be careful if coming in the evening time as some of the roads are pitch black at night and are a little wavy. But hotel itself is amazing

The Cottage!

Absolutely wonderful place…would highly recommend. Everything as seen on the photos and in the description. Stayed in the 4 bedroom cottage, all with their own bathroom and ate is as celebrating a big birthday for one of the family. Staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough! Thank you!

Stayed here several times whilst my partner attends hospital appointments. We are treated like old friends, very welcomed and the owner really did go above and beyond for us after our most recent stay. We had a special request and ahe did not hesitate to assist. Lovely room and excellent communication for arrival etc. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is because of the poor breakfast offering. With the exception of the yogurt pots and fruit (which was grapes and a few blueberries) everything else was ultra processed (bread, cereal). Usually I’d have porridge. There was prepackaged chocolate porridge which gives you a sense of the rest. The coffee machine was one of those that you get at a petrol station - which you don’t expect these days in a good b&b. So we drove to get a decent coffee. If you’re in New Brighton’Sea Shanty’ does excellent coffee but get there early to grab a table. We will stay again but I’d bring breakfast.
