Great location near station/theatre, helpful communication from hotel. Unfortunately had an issue with room booked and also the one that was subsequently moved to - neither suitable for guests at that point. However, staff super-friendly and tried best to help and resolve things quickly. Room finally given (third one) was suitable - comfy bed, great shower! Cheap and cheerful - get what pay for!

Very helpful staff. Reasonable sized room and comfortable bed. But tepid shower, missing plug in the sink, not that clean, dodgy looking wiring for the TV (even though it had an in date PAT test sticker. Very convenient for the station and buses. car park nearby for only £6/day (we didn't need to use it). One floor was undergoing refurbishment so maybe some of this stuff will be sorted out in due course

Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. They were the saving grace for this hotel! The room was dirty. The plug hole was disgusting, there were black spots on the wall and ceiling. Cobwebs and dust everywhere. The windows would close but not lock. That being said the sheets were clean. The room was poorly decorated. Only a small light worked. You get what you pay for - the room was cheap but even to basic standards this was way below!

I stayed at this hotel as I had a hospital appointment the day after and it was right next to the train station Liverpool lime Street just across the street. The hotel room was really clean and tidy. Everything you need for a single night or a longest day. The staff were fantastic very friendly and welcoming. I normally stay at another hotel in Liverpool but after staying here I can honestly say every time I come up, which is normally each month I will be staying here. I highly recommend it. It’s right next to Bars restaurant shops everything

The hotel is extremely good value for money. Two minutes walk from Lime Street Station yet my room was quiet. I walked to the waterfront in less than twenty. I minutes and it took the same time on safe street to the two cathedrals. It is a budget hotel but room was clean. Water was hot. Although website says no bed sheets or towels, there are, in all rooms and mine were good quality and the room had new carpet. Lacked a mirror in shower room and I might have wanted better water pressure in shower but quite adequate. No air con but window opened wide. Basic continental breakfast but in light and airy room and there is a lounge area too and a lift. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I was in a single room on a very busy weekend in Liverpool. A friend paid twice as much for nothing better on the waterfront. Two carparks al ost adjacent. I will definitely stay at the Lord Nelson when in Liverpool again.
