On entering the room it had a distinctive musty/ sour smell. Dirty looking stains on a well worn brown cord looking carpet. Whole room needs a freshening up and the carpet ripping up in my opinion. Plus side the bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom and shower adequate.

There was a good choice of food at breakfast. Cereals, continental and hot. The staff were friendly, the bar had plenty of drinks to choose from. There is also a car park at the hotel. It's a good location for Albert Dock and Liverpool 1.
