Tables for 2 in the dining room are far too small for breakfast. The food was good, but we had to ask for fresh eggs etc as the cooked foods were not replenished. no-one explained that other varieties of egg were available. But the room should be warm when you arrive and I've stayed twice (and will return) and each time the room has been Baltic, colder than the corridor, and given the lovely proportions of the rooms, it's a good 2-3 before they warm up. Like I said, I do really like the place and I will be back, just a couple of niggles preventing that 5* review - the other being that they are the only hotel in the world that doesn't accept Amex but that's only a minor inconvenience to me.

The Reception staff whilst cooperative were not exactly present, felt quite awkward upon arrival. Room was well maintained, but not spotless and the decor felt modern. We had a maid walk in on us but brushed that off as a they immediately apologised. The bathroom was very basic. The hotel restaurant was fantastic and the staff extremely pleasant and chatty. Breakfast was as good as you can get, the dinner food was pretty nice too. The Spa and Pool facilities looked a little tired and due an upgrade. I might sound picky here but I’m just being honest with what I saw and maybe I just expected a little more in terms of cleanliness and condition of the hotel, as it’s one of the better looking when advertised.
