“Centrally located, near the lake, allows dogs. Needs grip strips on the stairs for dogs. Gets warm when the sun shines, at the top of the building! Is on the main road so some traffic noise. Is a fabulous property and we had a wonderful stay, would book again.”

“Old Stones Cottage is situated perfectly for getting around Ambleside and is a great hub for exploring the lakes. The cottage has plenty of space for a family and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One thing that was quite noticeable during the stay was a loud and constantly running fridge fan in the open plan living area. For Parking, permits for on street parking and Public Car parks are provided, but luck is needed to get parked close to the property. Instead one of the...

“I don’t really want to write a review. I want this to be a best kept secret. A proper farm house, A boot room for after a muddy hike. A huge kitchen to cook in whilst with your family, 2 living rooms ideal for when your eldest daughter has had enough of her family for one day and 4 generous bedrooms. Everything was neat and tidy. Will be booking it again. The garden was nice and as I sat in the window we saw a stoat in the run and hide under the stones.”
