El desayuno fue muy bueno, pero aún más la atención de Tatiana que nos atendió. La habitación era amplia y hasta un sillón tenía. La cama fue cómoda y tenía aire acondicionado. En general fue buen lugar. En la noche se escucha todo el ruido del restaurante, ya que las mesas dan a las puertas de las habitaciones. Todo el personal fue muy amable. Considerar que por la zona no es posible estacionar, y el estacionamiento más cercano está a 2 cuadras en subida empinada.

Hotel location was great but no front desk staff. Restaurant basically attached to the room you could see people through the shower. Restaurant didn’t close until late and very loud. Wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely rooms, great breakfast, wonderful staff - going above and beyond to help - lovely terrace and smoking area. The girl who made breakfast and cleaned rooms was amazing! Great place, just make sure to consider taxi service, as some are unable to go down that street and taxis are not real reliable and it’s quite a street to walk up or down to get transportation especially with luggage.

Felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. A unique inn, breakfast was great and freshly cooked with ample amount and selection. Room was cleaned daily to a good standard. Staff very helpful and friendly. Plenty of bars and shops nearby. Food in the restaurant was superb with very large portions!

This place is in a great location - 10 min walk from the Baixa-Chiado metro stop, 5 min walk to Time Out Market and 20 mins walk from Praça do Comércio - the waterfront plaza. The steep streets are not for those who don't like walking in the heat but then most of Lisbon is like that - all part of its charm. The room was lovely - clean and comfortable. The best thing about staying here was Tatiana - I had the friendliest reception and service throughout my stay from her, nothing was too much trouble and she made me feel so welcome, with really authentic, fantastic hospitality and the breakfast she made for me out on the terrace was incredible! I would happily stay here again.

The property is located in a corner of very steep hills, and the streets are private, so cabs are not able to take you in front if hotel. With luggage, its a bit of a hike. However all over Lisbon, its the same terrain. The hotel front desk is not 24 hr, however we arrived early and hotel staff was there to greet us and allowed us to check in early! The staff is super nice, accommodating, and helpful. The hotel is small, only 4 guest rooms. Our room fit 3 of us, and has doors that lead right outside a terrace where they served breakfast. But in the evening, it also serves as their main outdoor seating area for their restaurant. So it can be noisy, we didnt mind. The restaurant in the evening is very busy and vibey. We had yummy food and drinks, it was very nice! The bed is a bit hard and the air conditioner in our room wasnt working well. So it feel warm while sleeping. Otherwise we had a great time here. Loved it.

Conforto e ótimo tratamento

Tudo muito mágico! Os funcionários pareciam velhos amigos! Fizeram questão de tornar nossa estadia perfeita, conversaram bastante e sempre prontos para ajudar. Cozinha maravilhosa. Vale a pena jantar lá pelo menos um dia.

Santa Bica was a great stay and we are glad we came here and it’s mainly because of our lovely housekeeper Tatianna. This property is on a hill so to get to the main street or to get an uber you either have to walk up hill about 5-7 mins or very downhill, so be aware of that when you have baggage or if you have accessibility issues. This guesthouse does not have a reception; it’s basically a restaurant that has 4 guest rooms and they have a housekeeper who is here in the morning/afternoon so when you arrive make sure you have your details to check in in advance. We were having issues with our Expedia connection and weren’t able to get our codes to enter, the staff was trying really hard to get in contact with us and we eventually used WhatsApp to coordinate. The rooms themselves are clean and organized but are small, essentially and bed and bathroom. Our bathroom and shower backed onto their patio so you need to make sure the curtains to the windows are closed at all times. There aren’t any irons/scissors/other items that you get in a regular hotel so you have to ask Tatiana, who does her best to accommodate. The breakfast is really good and the staff was attentive and really tries to give the best experience they could. Overall loved this guesthouse the staff was so kind and the location is fantastic!

Fantastiskt hotell med bästa läget

Ett fantastiskt litet hotell på Lissabons bästa läge! På en tvärgata till den finaste spårvagnsgatan ligger denna pärla. Nära mysiga Biarro Alto och bra gångavstånd till många ställen. Otroligt trevlig personal, fräscha rum, god frukost på mysiga takterrassen! Och glöm inte äta middag på deras högt rankade restaurang på kvällen, något av det godaste vi ätit!!

Unica comodità la posizione

Unica cosa positiva la posizione vicina per muoversi nella città, per il resto da dimenticare, la stanza era dimensionata per i puffi, non c’era neppure una sedia, la finestra era attaccata al ristorante sino alle due di notte non si dorme, la colazione che era compresa del tutto insufficiente, colazione che veniva servita non prima delle ore 9.00, sicuramente da non tornare

A sleepless night at Santa Bica

In my search, I filtered out 3-star hotels and higher and found Santa Bica to be one of the few ones close to the city center. It was actually close to the city center, but it was not exactly a hotel. Santa Bica is a renovated residence in a very dense area with narrow and steep alleys. A rather noisy funicular passes just in front of the building. I faced accumulated garbage in the surroundings and a big crowd of drunk teenagers right outside the residence who were there almost the whole night screaming and making it impossible to sleep. I heard later on from the lady in charge that this was because of the specific occasion in July. The room was clean and all requirements were in place. But it was very small and the toilet and bathroom were separated from the breakfast area with fullheight windows and curtains - which didn’t feel that comfortable. The reception was inside a small room and the way to the rooms was a narrow twisted corridor... The lady in charge was though helpful. After knowing about me not being happy about the place, she admited that I cancel my booking for the second night. Overall: if you are a party guy and would like to be close to the city center at any price, then this could be choice for you. I would itherwise recommend real hotels which are located a bit off the center.

Koselig Gjestehus med kun fire rom, utrolig hyggelig personal både til frokost og velkomst. Mye skjarm, men vinduene på rommene gikk ut mot terrassen og restauranten. Det gikk fint for vår del da vi ikke var hjemme på hotellet før sent på kvelden. Nydelig utsikt fra frokostterrasse ut mot sjøen.

Erstklassige Lage mit sehr freundlichen Personal!

Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Empfang und Mitarbeiter. Das Kleine Hotel liegt erstklassig in der Stadt mit tollen Restaurants in der Umgebung und der Foodhalle.Restaurant im Haus ist auch sehr gut mit einer Terrasse auf der man ein schönes Frühstück serviert bekommt.vor dem Haus fährt direkt die kleine Straßenbahn mit der man den Berg hoch oder runter fahren kann .3 min zu Fuß die Straßenbahnlinie die einen direkt in den Stadtteil Alfama bringt. Ich kann jedem das Hotel nur empfehlen , sehr freundliches Personal und erstklassige Lage.

A 5-star experience

If you're going to Lisbon and you don't stay at Santa Bica, you missed out of something. Santa Bica is a ***** hotel. They had a staff of 5 persons, and everyone was a true star - so it was a 5-star accommodation 😉 The breakfast was great as was the terrace. Great location as well. I recommend this facility 👍👍👍

Very Unique property "inside" of a really fabulous restaurant. Great food and all the staff were very helpful (they even had takeaway breakfast for us at 4 am when we left for our flight! Great walkable location in Barrio Alto--the only drawback was the distance to parking and lots of stairs to get there. We will return!

Small and comfy.

Cozy little place, I believe it only has 4 rooms in total; very comfortable though. Our room had a nice size bed, lots of channels and nice stand-on shower bathroom. The lady that helped us was super nice, very friendly and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived (it was earlier than check in); but she cleaned the room and was able to let us in earlier. She made us breakfast at arrival and was delicious homemade food, including jam and yogurt. Would recommend but be aware it's small and it's on a very steep hill - as most of Lisbon :)
