Nice apartment close to everything you might need. Warm welcome. Helpful tips received at our arrival. We were five had a comfortable stay. Well equiped apartment. Since our flight arrived ealy in Lisboa we would have appreciated a place to leave our luggages without paying an extra day or fees.

Portas do Teatro was exactly as per the photos. Great location, the sunset in the afternoons was amazing and our host Paula was fabulous. The apartment is spacious, clean and very comfortable for our family of 4. I would highly recommend and would stay again.

There couldn't be a better location in town to do and see everything from. Alfama definitely lives up to its name: most beautiful par of Lisbon. Be advise that this is an old building and that the accoustic insulation goes with the cachet :-) all and all, amazing spot.

We loved the apartment!! It worked very well for us as a group of friends and the location was great. Marco met us at the door even tho it was 10:30 at night and our plane was very late and gave us instructions for the wifi, alarm, etc and great recommendations for shopping and restaurants.

Great communication - Sónia was great as well - made check in easy as well as giving some good advice for local area. Area - be prepared its hilly/mountainous area, in saying that very interesting area - cathedral very close by along with a number of shops. As does happen pictures seen of property are not always what you get when you arrive. The unit we were in was on top floor - great views but little poky due to roof design. Very comfortable.

We loved the apartment. Five of us stayed and it was very comfortable. Walking distance to most things. Uber is also an option that worked very well and was very inexpensive. We stayed the last week in October so Air Conditioning was not needed but I can see how it could be hot in the summer. Great local vibe.

We were a group of 3 families Travelling to Lisbon for our Christmas vacation from the US... booked 3 different apartments in the same building....everything up until the checkin was smooth ..... but once checked in we were left with a terrible sewer stench for the biggest of the apartments .... The manager of the property had written a message to me a few weeks before our travel that one of the toilets had a stench and so the toilet was removed .... which indicated that they had taken care of the stink ...... but nothing was taen care and the whole apartment was stinky ... added to this the neigbours above us had insomnia.... talking loudly and moving furniture .... the walls and floors are pretty thin ..... for the amount charged per nite ( we were charged 200$/nite) the stay was not at all worth it ... would not boo for free too if we knew what we were walking into ... the least the property managers could have done was warn us abt the stink permanently present ......Please never book here and spoil your vacation

This is a charming apartment on the 2nd floor (3rd floor North American). The apartment is large with four sets of windows facing west. During the day, the apartment was bright, but the low level lighting made it quite dark at night and difficult to read. I liked having separate dining room. The hot water is on a tankless heater which required a few minutes to heat up. The tub would benefit from having an anti-slip mat. We did not cook in the kitchen, only made coffee. The neighbourhood is on the mountain below the castle a few metres from the Cathedral and the streets are very steep. Nearby are a number of nice restaurants, pastelaria and a grocery store. We walked most places. The metro is about a 10 minute walk. The agency had warned us of noise but there was little from the outside. However, we could hear every movement and noise from the apartment above us. We had good communication with the owners. One issue is that the webpage for Portas do Teatro shows pictures from a number of apartments and it is not easy to see which pictures go with which apartment. I would suggest the pictures be re-arranged by apartment. We enjoyed our stay here at the apartment. Other than not wanting to experience again the challenge of managing the hills (we are two seniors in our 70s), I would not hesitate to stay here again.
