To stay here is to be reminded of what a five-star hotel is intended to be: spacious rooms, soothing ambience, efficient, cheerful service, and an excellent restaurant. Its setting away from the downtown allows for views out of the rooms which feel like you’re in the country. The price of this location is that it takes a little longer to get to some of the main sights of the city, but this is a small price to pay for what you get in return. Highly recommended.

This was our first trip to Lisbon (we will be back) and we felt like we had won the lottery with our hotel. The lobby, the rooms, the grounds and the dining were superb (we still miss the breakfast buffet) and the staff were incredible and helpful. This is a great hotel. We will be staying here again.

This hotel is an oasis of refinement and relaxation. The grounds are perfectly kept and the staff is helpful and kind. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and the spa is wonderful. I had a perfect stay and will visit again!

We absolutely loved this hotel. First off it’s a beautiful Palace that has been restored and also on a street with many embassies. So it’s in a residential area, which makes it quiet from the busy city life . The service was amazing.

We loved how the rooms look out over the beautiful gardens, pool and pond with resident turtles and fish. The spa area is also wonderful. I had a back and shoulder massage and the therapist was lovely. The breakfast was also delicious and all the staff were extremely polite and helpful.

Historic beauty with a classy staff to match

Although this hotel is a bit off the beaten path, the ambiance, staff and offerings were worth the stay. It's classy, spacious, tranquil and filled with so much history. We stayed only a few days, but wish we could have stayed longer. So glad we found this gem. Also, the cocktail bar is top notch, along with the indoor/outdoor pool.
