First time I’ve stayed at a Mama Shelter and probably won’t be the last. Stayed in a small double which was a good size room for a solo person although the sink area was a bit snug. Hotel is located close to a metro station so easy to get around.

As a solo traveler I felt very safe staying here. The hotel was close to the train station (one block) and had several local convenience stores nearby. Although the outside could get loud in the evening, once my door was closed I didn't hear anything. I would stay again!

A Lovely Stay with Wonderful Staff, but a Few Areas for Improvement Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Mama Shelter Lisbon! The hotel has a modern, tidy feel, a beautiful rooftop, and a fantastic on-site restaurant with evening events that create a fun atmosphere. Its proximity to a grocery store was also very convenient. The staff really made our stay special! A big shout-out to Catarina and Sabhi, Gabriel at the main restaurant bar, and the wonderful breakfast team. Everyone was welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made us feel well taken care of. There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The elevator doors close extremely quickly, so please be careful. Unfortunately, I was struck by the doors and ended up with a significant bruise and three days of knee pain. I also witnessed two other guests experience similar incidents during our stay, so I believe this is something the hotel should look into for guest safety. Our room was quite compact, and the shower water was warm rather than properly hot. We also felt that the room cleaning could have been more thorough throughout our stay. At check-in, we weren't reminded that breakfast was included in our booking, so it is worth confirming your inclusions when you arrive. One practical tip: make sure your Uber or Bolt driver drops you off on the correct side of the hotel for your room, as the layout can be a little confusing. Overall, Mama Shelter has a lot going for it, particularly its atmosphere.
