Staff was phenomenal! It is very close to the beach and there is a small shopping center adjacent to the hotel, with a few eateries and a supermarket. There are also several restaurants within one block from this property. Very convenient!

Hotel in a very good position with friendly staff

The Hotel is good in a very good position the only remark about 4 stars hotels is that usually it is aspected newer furnitures in the room, anyway it has got everything customer needs. The staff is exceptional! Thanks.

This is the one you select

Probably the best hotel in the region outside of lisbon. Its an older hotel, but kept in hood condition. Staff is great. Pool, bar, restaurant and walking distance yo restaurants and the beach.

Very pleasant stay

We had a very lovely stay at this hotel. It’s located near Carvavelos beach and is situated in a quiet area of the coast, about a 15-20 minute drive from the Cascais beaches. We booked a junior suite, and it was perfect for our family, two twin beds added to the living room section and a very large bed in the main bedroom. We could see the ocean from our balcony, with several windows facing that direction. It was a very quick and easy walk to the beach, and several lively restaurants right outside the door. There is a grocery store and pharmacy attached, which was very handy. Easily accessible to Cascais and Lisbon via train or car. Breakfast was fantastic, several hot and cold options as well as selection of breads and pastries. We would definitely be back.

This hotel certainly ticked all the boxes for us and exceeded all our expectations. It’s kept impeccably clean, rooms are large and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is amazing so too the pool area. Easy stroll to the beach and shopping centre at side of the hotel with a supermarket means you really only need to take a toothbrush. It’s literally a 4 minute walk to the train station so getting to Cascais, Lisbon, Estoril etc is a doddle. Will definitely return as our trip was only 5 nights so still a lot more to explore. Ubers are ten a penny, inexpensive and a great option in the evenings. Downloading that app is a must! Thank you to all

Decent beach hotel close to Lisbon

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located a 10-min walk from the beach. The beach is good for surfing and is generally quite calm, although not very big. The hotel is also quite close to Lisbon and it is only a 30-min drive to the airport. The pool area is nice, with beach chairs, umbrellas and free beach towels. Breakfast was included in our rate and was decent, but not very imaginative. Some fresh and better quality ingredients would be good. You do notice that it is an old hotel, but it is well maintained, and felt cleaner and tidier than much newer hotels. All in all a nice place for a beach trip close to Lisbon

The location was nice but my room had a coachroach in it. Called to the front desk and they came and took care of it but didn't offer another room and wouldn't give me a discount because I had booked through expedia. Was terrified to sleep there so pulled out the flashlight and inspected the room and it was only clean on the surface. Found garbage under the bed, which was also quite uncomfortable. Staff were nice but hotel needs upgrade and fumigation.

A good stay, despite misleading hotel description!

Misleading Hotel Description I had a good stay at Riviera, but I was not please to find that access to Sauna, Indoor Swimming Pool and Gym are a paid service (and run by a third-party company). When checking again the description of the amenities, services and equipments Riviera Hotel provides in Hotels.com there is no information about such extra cost. My stay was decided based on access to sport structures and I’ve found this deceiving and regrettable. Only later, reading lowest reviews, I’ve found other customers to have similar complaints. Personal requests and Sound For people sound-sensitive, I’ve sent an email to the hotel prior to the travel, requesting a bedroom furthest away from the exit staircase and elevator. It was very disappointing to find my bedroom precisely in such area, and having no communication from the hotel regarding this. I also booked a Standard Twin and chose the option of a couple bed. My preference could not be fulfilled by the hotel. As I was informed, the hotel will try, yet not able to guarantee, my preference can be satisfied. I recommend you not to forget to confirm directly with the hotel your preferences (as the hotel will not send you an update on that matter). Staff Although reception staff is definitely not at its best, staff attending to breakfast and outdoor swimming pool were vert candid and pleasant. Breakfast A good quality continental breakfast presented in a spacious and comfortable room with a lot of light.
