Absolutely lovely stress free stay. Staff were all wonderful and responded immediately when we had a minor toilet issue. The room was large, full of light and a delight to stay in. Loved the experience and will be recommending to others I know traveling to Lisbon.

We loved our three night stay at Hotel Alegria. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, directly across the street from a small picturesque and quiet park. Our room was very nice, perhaps not the biggest but comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the park, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC was strong even though we arrived in the midst of a major heat wave across Europe. The location is very convenient. There are many excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities within an easy 10 minute walking distance, including Rossio square. We even found it walkable down to Praca do Comercia at the riverfront. However, if you're not up for walking, the subway station is only a 4-5 minute walk.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Alegria. Surprisingly spacious room. Bright and airy with three windows and great views. The staff was always willing to lend a hand with restaurant recommendations, a taxi order and even ice for my husband’s injured foot. We enjoyed the Santo Antonio festivities right across the street although the party did get loud at night. We were thankful for a side street facing room and solid windows. The hotel said they sent us notice of the event thru Expedia but nothing was received. Still, a minor wrinkle in an otherwise great stay.

The staff were so friendly, gave us suggestions on things to do, places to see as the weather wasn’t the best. The room was always spotless, very traditional but with a modern twist. We loved the breakfast, there was plenty to choose from and they even cooked fresh omelettes upon request! Overall the hotel was small but charming, perfectly located to get around the city. Would definitely stay here in the future!
