The room is clean and has lots of space, very affordable. The area is safe and very accessible to everything. The metro and bus stations are very close. The only downside is that if you have heavy luggage, this building does not have an elevator. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

The air conditioning is strong and the rooms are spacious! It's the perfect location between metro stops and plenty of food and shopping. Checking in is a breeze. My only issue was the floor could have used a mopping and the pillows were a bit musty.

Hall Chiado was extremely clean, updated, comfortable beds, excellent location and responsive staff. The only downfall was the hostel above. They had people above my room that were making a lot of noise all week after 11pm, sometimes up to 1am. Although the rooms have great soundproofing for city sounds, that did not prevent the noise from the room above. Overall I highly recommend this property and I would stay there again, but hopefully not below the loud people.

I won't repeat

The location is good, close to the station and restaurants, and the room was spacious and comfortable for a family of four with a bed for each person. However, we stayed for two nights, and although the room was cleaned very well, only a small amount of toilet paper was provided, which was not enough for us as we were planning to relax in the room over the New Year holidays. Also, after the New Year, when I took a shower late at night, only water came out.

Great room, 10/10 location but very noisy pipes!

Great stay here. Amazing location, right in the heart of all the action. Easy check in process. Nice rooms. Only problem we had was the very noisy drainage/water pumps. Any time someone in the building used a tap or shower, it made a really loud noise which woke me up several times. If youre a light sleeper, bring earplugs!

We stayed at Hall Chiado for 5 nights and we loved it! The hotel is located in the heart of the Chiado district, only a couple of blocks away from Plaza Camoes. It was easy to catch the tram to Belem from the station 2 blocks away, also easy to join tours and catch Tram 28, which was also a couple of blocks away. There are lots of good restaurants around and the area is safe. A few meters up the street there is a supermarket, which we used to buy the basics for our breakfast. The hotel was very clean. We had the suite and loved having the kitchenette with a fridge and a kettle for breakfast and tea/coffee. The staff was kind and attentive. They were helpful and always making sure our stay went well. Definitely would go back there if we ever visit Lisbon again.

Catastrophic!!!

Awful hotel. Awful service. First about the place: the room doesn't have a dresser, to put your coat in. It doesn't have a table(!), and only one chair! The A/C is not working, and in the bathroom? Disaster! They have failed to properly repair the shower, and water drains all over the floor! If you book here, expect to have clothes hanging from the walls, bring your own glasses (this 4* hotel gives you none) and forget about a fridge ... there's none. The TV is smaller than my workstation monitor, you need to use your cellphone to magnify the image if you want to watch from the bed. Now for service (WHAT SERVICE???) ... We wrote to the property two days before getting there to charge the room on a different CC. The reply came promptly and unkind: we'll charge the CC on record at the time of the booking. What if that CC was cancelled??? There's nobody on premises to have a talk about such a thing, and Hotels.com wasn't much of a help (the chat with an agent Bobby conveniently disconnected). Buyer beware ... now you know! Book at your own peril! I don't think I ever gave a 1* review before, but sadly I guess, one has to start somewhere. All my other hotel experiences during this trip were great, thankfully.

Excellent location, nicely furnished room and bathroom. We stayed here in 2014 in a family room when our kids were small and were very excited to get to stay again 11 years later as just a couple. Location cannot be beat.

Our room window opened into a closed alley, although we understood it was the cheapest option and didn’t matter much, since we were out all the time. Room safe had reset button missing, so a code could not be set and hence it was unusable. We asked the person at the desk in the hallway, she said she’d look into it, nothing happened, not even a reply. Room lacked a basic table/desk to put things on. It was clean however, and overall we enjoyed our stay there.
