The location is very good. Breakfast is good because they have excellent variety of fruits, but it would be better if eggs were also available. Reception is friendly.

Excellent location. Very convenient to everything in Old Lisboa. The stairs inside the hotel were hard on my old legs, the elevator is 2 storeys above street level. Otherwise, the rooms are nice.

It is a clean, basic hotel in a very good location. Staff is very helpful. You have to walk two flights of stairs to get to the elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, it might be difficult. Otherwise it is a good place to stay.

Great budget location for town and all the sights.

Excellent service - we have stayed here before but the warm welcome was definitely appreciated. Lovely room, outstanding view of the castle hill. Room well presented. Only issue was the shower dial which sticks out of the wall by 10cm at just below face height which my friend fell onto after slipping in the shower which gave her a nasty black eye. It was partly her fault for being clumsy but also probably not the best design especially in a hotel. I would definitely stay here again but just take more care in the shower!

Wouldn’t stay here again

The main issue we had was the horrendous smell of drains in the bedroom. We didn’t complain when we arrived as it was only light, but as the days passed it got so much worse. The room apart from that was okay, with the basics needed for a few nights. View from room was to an abandoned building which wasn’t ideal, and the area around the hotel is quite rough.

Very underwhelming - not as pictured.

Room very different from those displayed on website - dark, small window and very little floor space. Constant smell of old and damp. Room was also quite loud, and we could hear people as they walked past the room. We were woken up one night by another room coming back. The bathroom had no windows, and the shower hot/cold signals were the wrong way around. The hotel also had a lot of stairs, some unavoidable - certainly not accessible to those with any disabilities/children. The room had very good air con, keeping it cool. The room was also cleaned each day, with fresh towels.

Cheapest renovation job i ever saw. Only concern for this hotel is profit, not hospitality. Devoid of ANYTHING portuguese. Cheapest plastic floors uneven, mold in shower, whitewashed room no color, toilet seat broken! Stinky chemicals in room and bathroom masking some problem. Just unbelievable anyone would ruin an historic building with cheap plastic and strip a tourists experience of any culture. Why spend thousands traveling if all you get is creapy cheap plastic, whitewash and chemicals. Bed hard. Only thing right about room was linen service (towels sheets), but that is subcontracted.

Cet établissement a dépassé mes attentes. Certes, ce n'était pas hyper moderne, mais tout y était pour que notre court séjour se passe à merveille. Le personnel était souriant, notre chambre était confortable et l'emplacement était plus qu'idéal... surtout compte tenu des prix à Lisbonne.
