We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was at a great location and very walkable to many sites and restaurants. It's also a perfect place to stay if you want to arrive a day or two before your cruise and explore Lisbon, since the cruise terminal is across the street. Our room was large and very clean. Lovely property and the museum gives it a unique edge. Breakfasts were delicious - the hot chocolate is fabulous - and the dining room staff were particularly lovely. We had some confusion on arrival about the twin room we'd booked, which caused some concern and delay, but it was resolved after an hour or so. Close to the river and lots of the city centre amenities.

Very good stay overall. Not only the room was clean, but the entire hotel was spotless, with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional at the same time. The location in Alfama might be less convenient for some since it’s farther from Chiado and Bairro Alto, but for me it was a plus — quieter and less crowded. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would consider staying here again.

I wish there was a bar area to sit at and meet other travelers, but they did have a small bar set up in the lobby and there are comfortable areas to sit at.
