Room was spacious, beautiful, and felt so luxurious. I'm shocked at the value for the price! I travel a lot, but the staff here were possibly the kindest, and most hospitable I've met. It really felt like coming home each each night. The location was incredibly convenient, and I was able to walk to almost everywhere I wanted to go. Also, the wifi was incredibly strong! Will absolutely stay here again, it was such a delight.

The room was very clean and we had a very good breakfast. John was fantastic and very helpful. He was there when we checked in. Mr. Angelino is also fantastic and very helpful. He speaks very good Dutch ! We loved it. Those two men and the rest of the staff make your hotel. The only recommendation I have is to replace the big coffee machine. The Nespresso coffee is great. It is a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.

I recently had a truly wonderful stay at 1869 Principe Real. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere of the hotel provided a perfect sanctuary within the city. The Accommodations My room was exceptional—very well-appointed, airy, and filled with natural light. It felt incredibly spacious and was kept immaculately clean throughout my visit. Despite being in such a vibrant city, the hotel is located in a remarkably quiet area, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. Dining & Service • Breakfast: The morning meal featured a good offering with plenty of variety to start the day right. • The Staff: While Lisboetas are by nature kind and hospitable, the team here is on another level. The true gems of the hotel are the receptionists: Joao, Angelino, and Mariana. These three take the prize for being the most warm and welcoming people in town. Their genuine care and hospitality made a lasting impression on my trip. If you are looking for a blend of elegance and genuine Portuguese warmth, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I look forward to returning!

The room was lovely, with high ceilings and tall shuttered doors to charming balcony. Super comfortable bed and sofa, giant bathroom with shower and soaking tub and even an armchair. Great boutique B&B option in very popular area. Massive room, very comfortable bed, A/C and updated bathroom. Amazing rate for the area as well. Breakfast was lovely with cold options and eggs available. Everyone working here is so nice and happy to help. My bags were brought up to my room while I explored the city which was so helpful

The only people I would not recommend this stay too are those with limitations on stairs because the stairs are quite steep.
