Nice historic hotel, but a little quirky!

Door key code is emailed but the process ti unlock and locked the door is fiddly. Breakfast is also different, again via another email for a standard breakfast or if you wish you can request something special from the list, the breakfast is then left in a Browne paper bag in the breakfast room fridge with your room number on the next morning. Parking also has to be paid for as it’s a public car park just outside the hotel.

Was supposed to have a single room, room had sixbunk beds. Was informed if I needed a special order breakfast needed to order on line. I didn't need a special breakfast so didn't order. I got no breakfast becasue I hadn't ordered.

Boutique hotel: a gem outside of the city centre

This boutique hotel provided excellent service from check in to check out. There is no onsite check in but the instructions provided were very clear. I appreciated that they also explained how to access the elevator. The room was very comfortable and the decor was on point for being a former military barracks building. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Being able to customize it was wonderful! Coffee, espresso beverages and tea were all available round the clock. The hotel is outside of the town centre which, for some, would be a drawback but I really enjoyed the 26 min walk to the town centre via pathways and gardens. I used public transit from the train station with my luggage and it was straightforward with no transfers and the stop is close to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Historisk oplevelse

Dejligt ophold pÄ et flot stor vÊrelse. Stedet emmede af historie, idet omrÄdet har vÊret en tidligere kaserne. Bygningen med hotellet blev ogsÄ anvendt til konferencer og selskaber, hvilket foregik i den tidligere stabs mÞdelokaler og opholdsrum, som alle fremstod med det mÞblement, malerier m.m. fra den tid hvor staben brugte det. Det var sm at bevÊge sig ind i en tidslomme. Meget spÊndende. Vi giver hotellet vores bedste anbefaling.

Fantastiskt boende med skön sÀng i tyst miljö

VÀldigt trevligt boende med stort rum och skön sÀng. VÀldigt tyst. Vi hörde ingen annan överhuvudtaget och inget störande ljud utifrÄn heller. Frukosten var bra. Men det blir vÀldigt mÄnga smÄ förpackningar dÄ allt har sin egen förpackning. Lösning med pÄse och plastburkar till allt blött passar bÀst för de som tar med sig maten. De som Àter i matsalen bör fÄ det i ÄteranvÀndbara förpackningar. SÄ Àven om syftet med anpassad personlig frukost med hÄllbarhet i fokus nÄr man inte Ànda fram.

Trevligt bemötande, vÀldigt fint rum, rent och frÀscht. Skön sÀng och mÄnga hÀrliga kuddar! Funkade bra med frukostkasse men saknade varm frukost. Fint men ingen sjÀl

Vi har vÀldigt blandade kÀnslor efter vÄrt vistelse. Rummet var vÀldigt fint, rymligt och rent. Att bo i en byggnad med mycket historia var hÀftigt. Men koncepten för osynligt service, ingen reception och ta-med-frukost möter inte standarder för ett finare hotell dÀr man betalar nÀstan 2000kr/natt. Att bestÀlla frukost i förvÀg Àr en underbar idé för att minska pÄ matsvinn. Men frukosten brukar ocksÄ vara en viktig del av upplevelsen i ett hotell. DÄ ska man inte kompromissa för mycket pÄ den. Det Àr alltsÄ vÀldigt omysigt att fÄ sin frukost i smÄ byttor (fruktsalladen var dessutom fortfarande nedfryst), och ganska kontraproduktivt nÀr det gÀller hÄllbarhet. FortsÀtt med förbestÀllningar men servera gÀrna frukosten vid bordet i vanliga skÄlar. NÀr det gÀller valet att inte ha nÄgon reception eller synlig personal. Det Àr alltid trevligt att kÀnna en mÀnsklig nÀrvaro i ett sÄ stort hotell. Det saknades definitivt i detta fall (Àven inom inchecknings tider). Ha en trÀffpunkt (reception?) och en klocka kanske i stÀllet för att bara nÄs via telefon. Det kommer att ge en mycket varmare och mer vÀlkomnande intryck. En sista punkt Àr att byggnaden verkar ha en otroligt fin och unik konferenslokal ovanför hotellet. Ni skulle troligtvis vinna om ni bjöd era hotellgÀster pÄ den. Dyka upp frukost dÀr eller bjud pÄ kaffe/te/bubbelvatten i biblioteket vid incheckningen (?). Igen: StÀdat och rent hotell, mycket potential för att fÄ det riktigt mysigt, men saknar sjÀl.

Fint hotell

Vi hade en vĂ€ldigt trevlig vistelse hĂ€r och kan varmt rekommendera hotellet! Rummen var fina och framför allt sĂ€ngarna var otroligt sköna, vilket gjorde att vi sov riktigt bra. Det mĂ€rktes att det Ă€r ett stĂ€lle dĂ€r man satsat pĂ„ komfort och trivsel. Det som drar ner betyget lite Ă€r att servicen saknades en del, och att frukosten var ganska medelmĂ„ttig – inget fel pĂ„ den, men inget som stack ut heller. Hade varit fint med lite mer omtanke kring det. Trots det hade vi absolut valt att bo hĂ€r igen nĂ€sta gĂ„ng vi kommer till Vadstena. En hĂ€rlig plats för avkoppling och ett bra lĂ€ge för att utforska stan.
