Great stay for work!

For the price I figured it wouldn’t be worth staying at. But all I needed was a place to sleep for work. It looked like all of the tenants were there for work. Large parking spaces, everything worked in the motel room, updated recently, and very nice people. Couldn’t beat the price and location was perfect.

The property is a bit dated. Kinda like the road side motels you would've found along route 66 in it's heyday. Nothing fancy but a clean comfortable room. Anyone expecting a lot of creature comforts, remember this is small town of Linden TX. Motel has 21 rooms. It's the basics. I'd stay again

I have stayed at this Motel several times over the last few years. It is always very clean, comfortable, price is reasonable, owners always very polite. Sometimes my dog is with me; this was the 1st time I was charged to have the dog but it was only $10 so guess that's all right. I'm sure I will be back again.

Roadside rarity

Accommodations in this area are hard to come by without traveling out to a larger town like Longview, Shreveport, Texarkana, etc. So the Royal Inn is in a very handy location if you find yourself in far East Texas, and all the more so for the price. I got an upgraded room without having to ask, the people at the desk are friendly and helpful, and my room was remarkably quiet. I travel a fair amount for work, and I slept better here than I have at some fancy-pants East Coast hotels. My room had also been renovated recently. My only suggestion after walking around the room barefoot is that the floor could be mopped more frequently, but I will gladly stay here again if I'm in the area.

The hotel is not wheelchair accessible. You have to jump a ledge to get onto sidewalk and jump to enter the room. In a power chair you can’t enter facility at all!!

The room supposed to be no smoking, it wasn't! The smell was very bad. The bed was a king in size however was so thin that we awake with a bad backache next morning. The website said $8 each dog, the person in the desk tried to charge $10.

It wasn't terrible considering the low price but could be better. The wifi signal was weak and my computer would not operate. The bedding seemed clean but the sheets were badly stained. The ceiling in bathroom was crumbling from water damage. The airconditioning unit was very loud. On the positive, friendly clerk, safe, easy parking and close to places to eat.

When we first got there, they said we did not have a reservation. Showed them the confirmation email. When we got to the room, we pulled back the sheets, and they were dirty, with a brow stain. We went to the front desk, they came and looked. The lady scraped it with her finger and said that it wasn't that bad. Would not offer us another room, so we went to the next town to get a room.
