We arrived to be told we had no reservations. Then they admitted we did but they had sold our rooms [3]. They tried to put us in a horrible filthy place down the street not even worth 10$ a night. Then they left me and my friends standing in the sun outside with our bags and did nothing to help us. Expedia is trying very hard for us now to get a refund. These hotel people are bad people. Take money and dump you on the street in a foreign city without help.

我本來訂了這一間近大街的，可以前一天要維修了，酒店工作人員不告訴我們，直接就把我們接到同一連鎖的其他店，又不告訴我們，雖然有要我們選房間，可是一開始的都是比較小的房間又沒有浴缸的，我們原本買的都是有浴缸又大的房間，我們都十分生氣揾酒店的人員，換了3個房間，才給我們換了一個比較接近我原本選的房型，住了一天晚上，酒店人員又叫了他弟弟送我們到機場，我們付了10元的高速費。 最後早餐方面，很一般，可是都是正常的。 我買的是416元的房間，可是告訴你們，古城的酒店很多，一些客棧不用這麼貴的。個人覺得不需要。以上只是我的個人意見。

Mixed feelings about our stay here. The owner of the inn doesn’t actually work in the inn or atleast he wasn’t there during our stay. We had a change in flight plans and were going to check in one day late. I emailed with no response and finally had the staff at the hotel I was staying at in XiAn call for me. On arrival the next morning 10am we were expecting to be able to check in straight away as we were due to be there the day prior anyway. They had people staying in our room and we had to wait until they checked out at midday and then cleaned the room.. This was all extremely difficult to communicate as the staff present did not speak any english and we were communicating through a translation app. The staff are absolutely lovely and can not be faulted. We had an extremely authentic experience due to them but unfortunately the inn let us down in many other ways. As we had to wait a long time to get into the room we were offered tea and got a bit of a lesson on all the different tea. We also had dinner prepared for us that evening and ate a sit down meal with the staff and some of their family which was lovely. They then took us out to a chinese folk bar just up the street. The staff were all very helpful in regards to helping us plan our day etc. The inn though, sadly a bit run down. There were water stains/marks on walls, toilet smelled, doors didn’t shut properly, a/c didn’t work,just did not feel clean People are lovely, sadly the inn upkeep lets it down dramatically.

Hotel telephone # posted was a non-working number. Taxi not permitted inside LiJiang Old Town. There are approx 30 entrances/exit to Old Town. Be prepared to walk at least 10 mins to your Inns/motel. Do not bring big/checked bag. We stayed in a different motel location inside Old Town than the one we booked online. Room is clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff is super friendly, helpful and honest. Will stay again but will bring only carry-on bags.
