“Overall it was ok. We felt we had to chase round to get anything we wanted. Some of the staff were ok but some rather aloof. The welcome pack for the dog was a nice touch. The parking fine. The decor a bit mismatched . The cleaners need to bend down and look up! I also think that the castle itself could do with a good tidy, weed, etc to show it’s beautiful potential.”

“Se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad pero hay que estacionarse sobre la calle. Mala atención en el restaurante. La peor cena de mi viaje. Lamb shank mala, seco y frio! Y nadie se acerco así que no me pude quejar.”

“If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”

“I stayed in the Hayloft. My hosts could not have been more charming. The Hayloft was beautifully furnished and much care had gone into it. The one thing that I think let it down was the quality of the beds - 4 singles - the mattress lacked support and you could actually feel the springs in it. I think a mattress upgrade would match the high quality bedding that is provided. The only other thing was that the fridge was switched off and open when I arrived. Maybe this is the way it is done in...
