I had a lovely and very restful stay at the chalet. The location has beautiful mountain views and is near to cable cars if you want to go higher up. The staff were helpful and friendly and made me feel at home as a solo traveler. The breakfast was top notch! Thank you so much and I hope to come again!

Lovely hotel

Lovely over night stay in Leysin! Snow less than seasonal however hotel made up for. Service by Naomi on reception was above and beyond required. Would definitely stay again.

I travelled here with my wife and my two children (3&5). We arrived a bit late in the day, and hadn't had lunch. Once we had mentioned we were hungry, the hotel staff phoned up the local pizza restaurant and sorted us out. The staff were simply amazing. The room was fantastic, with stunning views of the mountains. We had a family room, which the kids had their own little level which they loved. The buffet breakfast was another of the many highlights. With a nice range of food and drinks, that were all such high quality. The whole experience felt like a home from home. I will definitely be returning in the future.

We had a fantastic time here. The staff went above and beyond, and the on-site restaurant was a real highlight — genuinely excellent food and service that made the trip. The views are spectacular and worth the visit on their own. A couple of practical notes for future guests. The hot tub runs cooler than what we're used to in the US — I'd estimate around 90–95°F — so if you like it piping hot, just set your expectations accordingly. It's still lovely, just more of a warm soak than a hot one. Also, it's a bit of a walk from the train station. That was totally manageable in summer, but I'm honestly not sure how it would go in snow. If you're visiting in winter, I'd check with the property beforehand about whether they run a shuttle — worth verifying before you book. Internet was usable for email, did not try a video call. None of this took away from a truly great stay. We'd happily return.

Amazing Stay - Must visit

It was amazing stay with my family, everyone in my family loved it. Staff of Le Grand Leysin is super best from Reception to Bar to Restaurant, everyone was super amazing and very very helpfull for each and everything. About property, had a wonderful time in jacuzzi with the spectacular view. Superb time I have spent.

I can't fault this place. I stayed in a corner room with a balcony looking out across the Alps and down to Leysin village. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered a bottle of wine to have on the balcony in my room and was loaned a power adapter from the front desk when I realised that my EU converter wouldn't work in Switzerland. I had dinner in the separate restaurant downstairs (the local trout main was lovely) and then retired back upstairs to take in more of the view. As other reviews have stated, this is not a posh hotel. Some of the furnishings show some wear but the staff, very comfortable bed and linens, and incredible location more than make up for a few scratches on the wardrobes. I highly recommend and plan to return for a longer stay next summer.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel. Nettes Personal - man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen! Klasse Frühstück von wirklich sehr guter Qualität! Das Restaurant für das Abendessen war ebenfalls sehr gut! Zimmer sind aus Holz und im typischen Berghütten-Style, aber alles sehr sauber und im gepflegten Zustand! Whirpool ist zwar klein, aber sehr angenehm mit toller Aussicht auf die Berge! Sauna habe ich nicht benutzt. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen, komme sicher wieder und vielen Dank ans Team für den Kurzurlaub!
