Posted signs say it takes about two hours to hike up to the top. Needless to say, the beach is not very crowded. People sometimes have to be rescued on the climb up because it's so steep and the sand shifts so much they can't make the full climb. From the galleries to the shopping and restaurants, Leland is worth the stop. We enjoyed all the boutiques and of course, ice cream from the Dam Candy Store. We make it a point to visit Leland each summer.
