We stayed in the courtyard rooms. Have to say it was the most comfortable bed we slept in while in Ireland for 2 weeks! The carpet could stand to be replaced, but everything else was updated. It is a very old building, which adds to the charm, but also means water pressure is slow. Great price for a couple nights outside of Dublin. Super convenient to the airport.

This was a nice escape from the traditional hotels. We wanted to stay outside the city to start our tour of the western part of Ireland. Please note that this is an old manor (built in 1700s per staff) that has been converted to rooms. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are rustic. We loved it and enjoyed the experience. We were provided fans as we were on the second floor and it was warmer than usual. The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. There is a horse on-site and you feel removed from all the hustle of the city and town. A short drive away there are multiple options for shopping and meals. We had dinner at Arthur’s, which is where Guinness was first served. We had the breakfast at the manor, which was very good. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay here again. A real hidden gem.
