A proper old school English pub, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was absolutely superb too. We slept well, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast more than adequate. Would definitely stay again.

We were overwhelmed with the friendliness and kindness of all the staff The breakfast menu seemed a bit restrictive but I was given yoghurt with lovely fresh fruit The gluten free toast cooked under the grill was lovely and they even filled my water bottle with lovely cold water from the bar The parking was good with a gate for guests from the car park

Great place to stay! The room was very comfortable, food delicious (we had dinner and breakfast), all the staff really friendly and helpful, and the whole set up with parking and a lovely beer garden all made for a great night's stay. Thought it could be noisy but wasn't at all. Would definitely stay again (or drop in for food and drinks) if ever back in the area.

Wonderful, friendly, relaxing

We had such a lovely time staying here. The staff were second to none. So friendly and made us feel incredibly welcome. The food is also wonderful - we had dinner and breakfast, and it was all delicious. Pro tip - get the sofa by the fire for maximum comfort and relaxation! Highly recommend staying here.
